This afternoon, we broke ground on Phase IIIA of our Non-Motorised Transport project along Ondiek Highway, Nyerere Road and Gumbe Road.

I was joined by PS Charles Hinga - State Department for Housing and Urban Development, alongside senior officers from the World Bank, in this groundbreaking for the project funded by the World Bank through KUSP II - Modern walkways, Safer crossings, Better drainage and Landscaped corridors.

Kaloleni, Lumumba, Makasembo, Ondiek and Anderson residential areas, are rapidly becoming the mini-cities of a growing Kisumu and their growth without our planning is a recipe for chaos. We are choosing to plan, to invest and to build a city that works for people. Not one that waits for problems to fix themselves.
