Your level of wisdom is dependent on the degree to which life humbles you.

Personal experience and observations.

I know a very smart girl in secondary school. Took first position in Cowbell national mathematics competition. Couldn't gain admission to the university years later. Those who weren't secondary school stars were already in their 300 level when she finally got admission.

Some of us liked book, but the ones we yabbed for not being book smart are currently the richest of our set.

I know a few mates who married very early. Like, what do you mean you got married before youth service? Quite a few are divorced now.

We can only understand life in hindsight. No achievement or failure in the present is that important.

You just need to keep going.
