Sand trays, vowel tents, bumpy screens, oh my! Day 2 of @IMSEOG training today! Learning this direct, multi-sensory approach to instruction and loving it!
Celebrating the retirement of the most amazing custodian, Manuel! Always spreading positivity down our hallways and the first to lend a helping hand. I could always count on him for smile and friendly face at the end of the day. We will miss you, Manny! 🧡💙
Convo with my 1st grader today - “Mrs. Molina, remember how I told you I didn’t like school at the beginning of the year. Well, I love school now because of you. I don’t want to leave you and go to 2nd grade.” 🥹 Year made ❤️
My word problem ROCKSTARS!!! My favorite thing is seeing all the different ways my students choose to solve and REPRESENT their work. Equip them with different strategies and they run with it!! @nancy5quared
What an AMAZING speaker!! Thank you @PGIVBCPS for the opportunity to listen to the words of @kimbearden. So inspiring and just what I needed! #VBSpeakerSeries
Loved learning from @ChaseMielke during VBCPS National Speaker Series today. So many great takeaways!
“Moments have value, even the most difficult ones.” So important to remember, especially during these times, that EVERY MOMENT HAS VALUE!! 💙🧡
@AngelaRyan_VB Oh my goodness! Jackson!! I was nervous the whole time watching him. What a BRAVE boy!! And his pure joy at the end...❤️So proud of him for being so fearless. I surely know our sharing topic for morning meeting - times we were brave😊 can’t wait to hear him explain the experience
Today we learned about Dr. Mae Jemison. She taught us that “if [we] can dream it, if [we] believe in it, and if [we] work hard for it, anything is possible.” We worked on character traits and identified Mae as determined. Cannot wait to revisit this text when studying theme!
