never once have i learnt more about myself
bro.. TRAVEL
the best $35 i ever spent:
$35 was all i needed to pay to get access to an mma gym for 1 week.
monday.. pure anxiety, i was so nervous to even get on the mat.
tuesday.. i learnt a cold choke out called the "anaconda", i even used it and had a guy tap out.
wednesday.. riding off the confidence, going to mma was becoming an unmatched "high."
thursday.. had a convo with the coach, "you're tall, use your reach tomorrow in sparring" he said.
friday.. had my first sparring session and it felt better than sex.
bro i knew nothing.. i had no clue how to fight on monday.
still had no clue how to fight on friday.. so i messaged a mate of mine at the gym,
"yo how long did you wait before going to sparring?"
"7 weeks before i went."
"fuck it, i'll go anyway".
by the end of sparring, my nose was purple, i had the wind knocked out of me, and my calf had been kicked so hard i was nearly immobile.
but for one round, i'd never felt more powerful in my entire life.
for one round i spammed my left on a shorter guy over and over again,
i must have caressed his nose with my jab about 30 times in 2 minutes.
no word of a lie, he took off his headgear and threw it on the floor and walked out the gym.
i acted friendly after it, told him it was "just beginners luck."
but deep down it felt so good to see him damn near ragequit that i couldn't hide my grin.
but think about this bro,
i never told anyone i was starting mma.
i didn't even tell my girl, and i'm just now realising why i never told her.
she used to say this thing to me when i had to do squats for leg day.
"don't be a bitch."
she'll read this and smile at that.. because i'd always end up doing squats after she said it.
but that's the exact reason i never told her about mma.
if i did then i'm sure she would've said "don't be a bitch and go to sparring."
and i didn't want that pressure.
call it some pussy shit.. because it is.
i wanted to give myself an excuse to wait 7 weeks like my homeboy,
and that's much easier if she didn't know i was even signed up.
my brain was doing everything it could to justify skipping it that day.
i even said "oh, i don't want to waste the time of the more skilled guys."
i've never been an empathetic person..
caring about wasting other people's time? that's never been a trait of mine.
but suddenly i did care.. suddenly i was an empathetic person.
but it was just a defense mechanism.
the brain is wild.. it will turn you into a completely different person when you are presented with fear.
now i was still scared.. but fear is just an indicator.
it tells you "this is going to hurt.. but it will be good for you."
so i still went on friday.
i was still expecting to lose badly.. but i accepted that fact.
and what happened?
like i said, my nose was purple by the end and i'd been pretty fucked up.
but the 1 round where i made a guy throw his headgear in a tantrum was more than enough compensation for the other 7 rounds of losing.
so was it worth it?
absolutely.
you'll notice when you're scared of something but you do it anyway, you'll be surprised with how well you perform.
so today's lesson isn't actually from me..
it's from my girl.
"don't be a bitch."
the homeless man is my biggest enemy..
this situation will determine if you are male or female.
2:03am.. you've just parked up at the gas station after a long shift at work.
you're trying to give your future self' an easier life,
so you'll grab the 2-for-1 deal on the white monsters so you don't have to worry about it the next morning.
2:04am.. your hips are aching.. getting out of the car itself feels like a chore.
now in the corner of your eye.. a barefoot homeless looking dude catches your attention,
he's pacing around and makes his way in front of your car.. then literally just glares at the passenger seat through the windshield.
hands are in his pockets.. but there's no way he's carrying any weapons.
IMPORTANT: he is not carrying any weapons.. remember this.
he's still staring at the passenger seat.. let's assume he's wishing to be sitting there to escape the cold air that's freezing his bare feet.
he has to be under the influence of something..
either man-made substances, or insomnia from a lack of sleep.
now it's 2:05am.. and you have 2 choices.
choice 1:
put the car in reverse..
pull out of the gas station and take the L..
you'll grab the white monsters in the morning.
choice 2:
get out the car like you're on a mission..
buy the monsters without turning your back to mr.homeless..
drive off home with your goodies in hand.
now both choices are valid..
but the issue with choice 1 is that your future self will lose his balls as a result (become female)
most people would think it's stupid to willingly get out the car and put themselves in a situation like that.
they were always told "don't start a fight.. but make sure you're the one that finishes it!"
they'd leave the gas station without getting what they came for..
and on the drive home, they'd come up with so many different excuses..
"i was just being smart"
"it's unnecessary danger."
"if he started something, i would've beaten him to a pulp"
if you can't tell.. i didn't create this example out of thin air.
this happened to me 2 days ago.
i won't lie.. i considered just going home because i couldn't be fucked dealing with that guy.
but i've always taken everything personally..
and i would've been pretty ashamed if i avoided a possible conflict with a guy who clearly was not carrying a weapon.
it's a territory thing.. like am i really going to be scared out of a fucking gas station?
girls would say "you're thinking with your dick" but sometimes you have to just think with your dick.. you know?
sometimes you gotta just say "fuck it, i can take him" and just enter a slightly dangerous situation for the sake of your manhood.
puff your chest up, walk with some purpose and just accept that something could happen.
what's the alternative?
save yourself the trouble and drive off.. but feel emasculated.
like i said.. both choices are valid.
you can avoid a bruised ego and get out the car,
or avoid a bruised cheek and just drive home.
they both help your future self.
it just depends which one you value more.
which one hurts more in the long run?
i know which one would hurt me more.. that's why i'm sitting here sipping a lovely white monster.
and trust me, i feel much better.
there's a time and place to "be smart and think about the danger."
but 99% of the time.. you're better off thinking with your dick.
reread this until it sinks in.
@RealityBender05 main thing u said is that it cant be bought.
it's like anything difficult.. biz.. intelligence.. lifestyle - none of it can be bought without the struggle
if you're a gymrat.. grab a shield and guard your ego.
please skip the weights today.. do it for your daughter.
you'll be doing her a favour.
but rewind a little.. i need you to hear this dialogue.
you may have seen this clip..
where these reporters were interviewing a child predator.
he wasn't even in a prison..
they just placed him in a mental asylum and called it a day.
it's insane if you ask me.. a child pred.. that can get some therapy.. then walk the streets again.
fucked.
anyway, back to the point,
they asked him a question in the interview.
"what characteristics did you look for in children before.. ? (yk what)"
"none.. i paid attention to the father,
if the father looked like a threat.. i would not approach the child."
there's your answer.
you need to become a threat.
fighting is a life-saving skill.
it's life insurance for your future children, your mother and your woman too.
maybe you've been lifting for a while, packed on a respectable amount of muscle and have some arms that are a couple inches bigger than the next guy.
but any smart pred will know it's just an illusion.
what're you going to do?
bench press the mf?
he knows you're just a hunk of meat that can't move your arms unless it's in the "optimal plane for rear delt activation."
go watch mike thurston training with andrew tate,
you'll see what i'm talking about.. the guy looks he'd struggle to bend over and touch his toes.
speaking of toes.. i just got home from bjj and mine are littered with blisters while i'm here talking about "life insurance."
the thing with fighting, you don't "buy" it like you would a typical life insurance.
you pay for it a different way,
blisters on your elbows knees and toes from groundwork.
bruises on the liver side of your stomach.
constant jaw pain from eating punches.
but the biggest price?
it's your ego.
if you want your future daughter to walk without fear..
the ego has got to go.
i was bad for this..
stepping into any room but not immediately being the absolute best by a mile felt like pure shit.
i always wanted to be the best.. even if i'd done nothing to deserve that title.
now having an ego is a good thing if you've earned your stripes.
i deserve to have an ego when it comes to women.. 2024 was a wild year for a 6'4 demigod.
but as soon as there was conflict with other guys about these women, i hated that feeling of knowing i couldn't actually do anything.
i'd never show it,
but my skin would feel hot and i was genuinely a bit scared i'd get hit.. you know?
like, you never want to feel that powerless again, but your ego holds you back from starting something to acquire that power.
you want to be the best.. but hate the idea of subjecting yourself to being the worst for a while.
it's a paradox.
most of the time i'd tell you to do something else you're already decent at and then use those skills to get a headstart to avoid the ego death of "starting something new."
but fighting doesn't work like that.. nothing compares to it.
the only skill you might use for a headstart is cardio.
but we know gymrats aren't doing ts (that shit) anyway.
therefore, you have to experience the ego death.
but that's just part of the deal for the insurance.
did i forget to mention that fighting is all you need?
oh, well it seriously is the only one you need.
no point getting real life insurance.. you'll be so lethal that death isn't possible in the reality we live in.
just kill your ego, and fall in love with the payment
laugh when your brain bounces around your skull, kick the bag until your shins glow red, get a stress fracture on your wrist and when your girl says "rest it" put some tape on it and go fuck it up some more the next day.
the only thing you'll regret is not starting sooner..
you're still waiting for the magic pill.. but g,
it doesn't exist, that's just your ego talking.
if i asked you to shadowbox the air right in front of you,
you'd only do it in your bedroom where noone can see you.
idc where you are as of reading this..
but if you don't throw a combo in the next 60 minutes,
just know your ego is still too strong.
and you will not change.
just get it out the way.. do it right now.
go knock out the fairies.. you'll feel like a new man.
just have lazy discipline..
i think i may have just found the cure to male life.
understand that your day is the same as a heavy bag.
unless you apply pressure, neither will move.
yeah, the day will still go on if you rot in bed.. but did the day actually move?
or was it more of a loading screen.. like a buffer between yesterday and tomorrow.
like, the day feels weighted, so to escape the feeling of carrying metaphorical dumbbells around you just sleep to forget about them, but then wake up even more pissed off, you know?
as i've aged, responsibilities have stacked.
i can't sleep through them, although sometimes i wish i could.
as of writing this.. i'm only operating on lazy discipline.
it's a weird mix, i'm disciplined but can't be fucked being disciplined, but i'd rather deal with the work of being disciplined than the work of regaining momentum after being undisciplined.
so i'm still putting pressure on the day.. same way i would with the heavy bag even when my shins and knees are bruised like a college girls'.
it's just lazy discipline.
i like to call it the male cure.. you just need to apply pressure even when you can't be fucked.
it's not even difficult.. you just turn your brain off and say "i'll just do the work but i'll do it really shit."
it beats what other man are doing when their discipline runs out.. yk, sleeping to escape their work.
so you've automatically won just by having lazy discipline.
but to you it's one of the shitter days that you want to be done with.. so you just do shit work non-stop in the hopes that time moves faster.
by the end of the day.. you've had a top 3 life performance even though you felt asleep the whole day.
you just had lazy discipline.. and hoped the day would go fast..
and it did!
in the time between accepting that you feel lazy, and when you proudly close your eyes that night for some rest...
something interesting happens.
the lazy discipline told you to just "do some shitty work to make the time go faster"..
but the real discipline took over and told you "may as well make it some good work if you're gonna do it at all"..
idk when it happens.. but for me i just realised it as of writing this.
i told you earlier "i'm only operating on lazy discipline"
and that's real.. i just got done eating some pussy-shaped chocolate while watching tommy shelby clown inspector campbell.
i was just gonna write a post then go back to watching.. but now i'm in the mood to keep going.
hmm, it's weird. i still want the day to be over with.. but i'm chemically attached to my true love (the heavy bag)
she needs pressure, but not the lazy kind.
my bad tho, maybe i'll hit her first next time, that way she gets the lazy discipline and you get me at 100%, not 50%.
stay safe (not your knees though.. bruise them on the bag)
p.s. "how to start mma as a complete beginner vol.1" is going out to my email list tomorrow. (free)
link in bio if you enjoy breaking people's noses.
p.p.s. also covers how to balance it with business (for you entrepreneurs)
meeting a french girl will 10x your entire life.
you don't need to be bilingual to use what i'm about to teach you.
you don't even need to learn one word of french.
i used to work with a girl that had a really strong accent,
like you couldn't even understand what she was saying half the time.. she could barely communicate.
so we made a priceless deal.
i teach her how to "sound" more english..
and she teaches me some words in french.
she wasn't the nicest thing to lay your eyes on.. so i avoided any flirty french seduction.
unlucky, if she was hot that would've been free game.
anyway this was a few weeks ago, and i only remember one word.
"ja descende"
it translates to "i'm coming down" in english.
i don't know when i'll ever use it.. i'm allergic to any type of downwards motion in life.
i'm only going up.. to put it simply.
nonetheless, i only remember it because i was forced to.
i work in rope access.. think of being up 10 meters in the air suspended only by a harness.
i'm a lover for experiments.. so why not experiment with my new bilingual skills and say "ja descende" to this girl.
so the whole day i'm just repeating this french word over and over again.
and as a side effect, i'm a better mma fighter because of it.
now why is that?
well you can learn anything if you spend enough time doing it, that's simply common sense.
but you'll spin your wheels and get nowhere if you don't remember it.
imagine you learnt some french game,
"you look like a national treasure.. i don't know how the french government could let you leave.."
or in french,
"Tu ressembles ร un trรฉsor national... Je ne sais pas comment le gouvernement franรงais a pu te laisser partir..."
you're never gonna remember that, because you'll likely never use it on a french girl.
most of them smoke a pack of vogue's every day anyway.. that's not gonna be your wife.
point being, without repetition or implementation.. whatever you learn today will be forgotten by the time your head hits the pillow tonight.
so to avoid this, listen to kvt and you'll start running laps around people in life.
simply take the highest ROI thing you learnt during the day, and jog your memory of it before bed.
learnt a cold way to grab human attention?
go practice it on your mum.
learnt that ingesting salt can dehydrate you for hours?
have some salt before sleep (you won't wake up for a piss btw)
learnt a wrestling move?
use it on your older brother (won't work with younger ones)
learnt a sweep in BJJ?
get on your bedroom floor and try replicate it and imagine submitting someone else.
nobody else is doing that.
seriously, who's curling up on their bedroom floor alone to do that shit.
no one.
which is also why no one will be learning as fast as you will be.
i've run laps around guys because they're too busy congratulating themselves just for showing up to training when they could be doubling-down on what they learnt.
this isn't a "hack"... but it may as well.
it's called self testing.
"testing yourself - i.e. retrieving what youโve learned - soon after learning material prevents forgetting it."
- andrew huberman
the only rule?
you have test yourself the same day you learn it.
every day that you put it off, the more your brain says "oh we don't need this thing we learnt."
after a week, it's vanished from your memory.
then you need a refresher just like everyone else does.
quick summary:
learn something that will give you an upper hand
hack your brain.. test yourself the same day
don't sleep without doing this.
reap the rewards and run laps around your competition.
i once swatted the chip on my shoulder like you would a mosquito.
i thought the chip was trying to suck blood out of me.
it stung my thoughts at first.
but with enough "sting" you gain immunity to venom.
i say let the chip on your shoulder make the moves.
it could've "worked out" by now.
your ears got flooded with "you have so much potential."
you smiled.. what a life you were going to live.
soon they'll say "you had so much potential"
"potential" becomes ankle weights with age.
it'll bind you to "what if i just.."
forever.
should you be living life on autopilot?
well, dead people can't achieve shit..
and autopilot with the wrong destination is the same as digging an early grave.
i did this last year, my tombstone was basically already written.
2024, i was neck deep in the hoe phase.
my phone buzzed.. it was the "customer" acquisition software that's nestled in my pocket.. (snapchat)
my dealer posted a story.
"he's probably got more stock."
like a typical fein.. i'd never opened a story so fast.
but i felt sick.. my heart dropped like a brick.
it was on the verge of an "assault" to see this.
"fighting out of (*blank*) combat sports (*blank*)..
undefeated in the amatuer league.."
the commentators voice pissed me off even with my phone on low volume.
he was introducing a guy at my old gym who's now undefeated in amateur mma.
he started training after me.. a few months or so.
at the time i'd not fought in a while, i said i was "just taking a break"..
deep down it's never actually just a break.
i could've kept pulling up to the gym daily and put in rounds on the heavy bag and in the cage,
but i chose to buy rounds at the bar instead.
commentator could've been saying my name,
but i chose to have some fatherless girl moan it in my ear instead.
i sacrificed one for the other.
at the time i regretted it.. but regret is really just the window to your past failures.
moments like this will give you a glimpse at what's being written on your tombstone.
when you've slipped off the path.. it becomes a lot clearer.
but it gives you the opportunity to ask a question.
"is this how i'll be remembered?"
if your feeling sick in your stomach like i was..
that's just shame times guilt equalling regret
from there it's pretty obvious.
something clearly has to change.
here's the thing,
rewriting the tombstone is actually really fucking easy.
you just correct your course and reset the destination.
you can just grab a desirable life with your hands and make it yours.
"10k/month entrepreneur"
"professional fighter"
seriously, what's stopping you?
the shame and fear alone are your safety net.
those emotions will never let you slip back to the early grave you were approaching,
that life hurts too much to live.
so naturally, you'll just be catapulted towards the new life.
all you have to do is set the destination.. then let autopilot do it's thing.
"fear is the beginning of every success i've lived."
- georges st'pierre
he hated the etching being written on the tombstone,
so he rewrote it with "ufc champion."
fear and shame worked as a catapult.
he set the coordinates and let autopilot do it's thing..
"voila!" he's now a champion..
all you have to do is rewrite what's already being written.
they'll only remember you for what you did.
therefore, you can just do.. success.
can't you?
here's your 5th grade summary:
fear is like fire,
winning is like water.
just run on autopilot until you're drowning in success.
goodnight from the limestone wall..
it's time to head home.
"professionals" have just opened 3-4 more doors than you.
you open the beginner door and step inside the room,
like a sponge.. you soak up all the knowledge in that room,
then use the knowledge in that rooms boss fight,
victory grants you the key to the intermediate door.

"but you can't have a rainbow without a little rain."
how do you build a $11.3 billion company in a "dying" industry?
simple.. you promise a "holy shit" moment but then deliver a "holy fucking shit" moment.
now when someone takes your bishop in chess you say "oh shit".
but when someone wipes your queen off the board out of nowhere...
"holy fucking shit i'm cooked."
studying business grandmasters is like watching a entire chess game from start to finish, you see what moves worked, you see what moves didn't.
enough of them.. and voila.
you understand business strategy like they do but in a fraction of the time.
now what networth would a businessman need to have "grandmaster" status?
i think $500 million would suffice.
that's 68,965,517 hours of minimum wage work in the united states.
now if you want a business grandmaster (that didn't work 68,965,517 hours)
you should look at the ufc.
study the guy behind it all.
the one who prints more money than most of the fighters combined.
dana white, ceo.
now he's an excellent marketer.. here's why.
humans have aggression that boils up.
they suppress and suppress.
it gets hotter and hotter.
they're dying to let it out.
until "BANG!"
they feel all that built up tension release when a beautiful display of choreography between 2 men in a cage tickles that aggressive itch in their brain.
when someone gets knocked out?
"holy fucking shit" moment.
the ufc is such a booming business because it promises these moments.. and delivers on them consistently.
the promise is in the trash talk of the pre-fight,
"you're mum's gonna be in tears when she sees the state of you in that octagon"
it gets people hype -> sets up the delivery
1st round knockout.. the crowd goes ballistic and you can see their faces looking like they just witnessed the 2nd coming of jesus.
that's delivery on promise -> now satisfied customers.
but how can you use this to your advantage?
well.. to satisfy customers you just need a promise and a delivery.
in the ufc's case.. customers get a promise of literal carnage for 3 rounds x 5 minutes.
once the promise is set.. do you really think they'll abandon their espn subscription before the delivery?
of course not.. everyone loves a bit of carnage deep down.
so as long as the promise is strong, your customers will be begging to see what you have to deliver.
promising carnage may not be your style.. but you can still promise in your own style and satisfy them via delivery.
promise a way to get revenge.
promise a way to become dangerous.
promise a way to have power over others.
just make sure the promise has the potential to tickle a primal part of their brain.
once you've promised.. you have to deliver.
the ufc delivers because the carnage they promise is between the most elite fighters in the world.
so.. you just have to be elite in the area of life you're promising.
(if you promise danger.. become dangerous and deliver what you know about becoming it)
your a grandmaster at it.. and your just giving someone else a shortcut to grandmaster status in return for cash.
this is where the money is hiding.
promise -> delivery -> promise -> delivery.
with every delivery you gain a reputation for being the guy who fulfills his promise.
now imagine you did this for life.
you just promised big and delivered bigger.
hint: word of mouth spreads quickly.
the only thing that separates you from an $11.3 billion company,
is how many "promise -> delivery" cycles you've provided.
it's just a game of numbers.
