A Warsaw native, Barsh made his mark in Kokomo by working 54 consecutive Kokomo Relays, including the 100th event. He was instrumental in the founding and ongoing success of the Howard County Sports Hall of Fame, serving as one of its original board members. His decades of behind-the-scenes support, mentorship, and leadership have made him a true icon in Kokomo sports.

From the HOF: Herman Fowler was a dual-sport star in football and basketball at Kokomo High School. He was the MVP and leading scorer on the hardwood his senior year and played on a football team that posted an undefeated regular season. Fowler went on to play linebacker at Indiana University as a walk-on who earned a scholarship and multiple varsity letters. He later returned to KHS as an assistant coach, continuing his impact on local student-athletes.

From the HOF: A dominant two-sport athlete, Hillary Beck starred in basketball and soccer for the LadyKats. She scored over 900 career points in basketball and helped lead Kokomo to an undefeated regular season and top state ranking her senior year. In soccer, she scored 109 goals and was a three-time Kokomo Tribune MVP. Beck went on to play Division I basketball at Miami University (Ohio) and later served as a collegiate coach at Arizona, Evansville, and Western Carolina.
