@ironmikeluke This is a bad take. Maybe baseball doesn’t generate the same excitement it did 20 years ago, but to say there is less skill is wild. I’ll be the first to argue that Bonds is the greatest player ever but the arms he was facing are not what is in the game today.
Fa1th wrote my story, service is the next chapter. Blessed to launch the First Down Faith Foundation, built on the simple idea that every 1st down brings us closer to our purpose & Christ. Excited to show up for the youth in Tucson on the field and in their walk with God #2GBTG
"Coach D you changed my life, I didn't know God until I got to Boise State."
An Emotional moment between Ahmed Hassanein and Spencer Danielson following the Fiesta Bowl.
It’s the MLB offseason, so hundreds of players will spend the next few months training for a baseball season that they won’t end up playing in, and will be forced into retirement.
It’s stressful when you have a young family and know that one of these days you won’t get signed and you’ll be starting from scratch at 25-35 years old. Most guys don’t prepare for that day.
Nobody I knew talked about buying, or starting a business outside of a batting cage with some travel teams.
If I knew I had a year or two left in my baseball career again here’s where I’d start if I was interested in owning a business.
- Get connected to business owners (people you know, or people on here). Spend some time shadowing them to see what it’s like. Ask all the questions. This might lead to a job.
- Learn your options. Listen to podcasts of people who have already done what you’re interested in. There’s so many industries.
- Learn a skill. Take a course or go down YouTube rabbit holes on SEO, google ads, lead generation. And find someone you can practice these skills on their business. Whether it turns into an agency doesn’t matter, you will use these skills at some point.
- Save your money the last couple of years playing. Give yourself a year or 2 runway of personal expenses to figure it out if you are going to buy or start a business. I recently heard this “it will take longer than you think, and be more expensive than you thought”
I definitely don’t have all the answers and am a rookie when it comes to owning/operating a business.
Feel free to add any other suggestions. Or reach out if this is you.

At 32 years old, FA @kwade_48 has reinvented his changeup.
He has averaged >10” of IVB his entire 11 year pro career.
Now he is consistently below 0” of IVB including this one at -5”
🤢
Within 2 weeks, FA @kwade_48 has killed more than 10” of depth on his CH from his career average.
All it takes is understanding how the ball should spin and finding the grip that works for the individual to achieve it.
Can't think of a more deserving human. Cleveland got one of the best. Impacts humans, not just pitchers.
You forget how good of a pitching coach he is when you learn how good of a person and teammate he is.
Thrilled for my friend. Congrats, brother.
