Yesterday, we celebrated #CanadianArmedForcesDay at the Embassy of Canada. More than 700 CAF members serve across the U.S., strengthening North American security alongside our allies every day. Quiet professionalism. Unwavering dedication. Service to Canada. 🇨🇦

This capability marks a major step forward in modernizing the Canadian Army. HIMARS will give the Army a mobile, long-range precision strike capability that can be deployed across Canada, including the Arctic, and abroad using existing RCAF aircraft. (1/2)
Yesterday, I visited @NORADCommand Headquarters and met with General Guillot and Lieutenant-General Huddleston to discuss our shared mission of defending North America. Through NORAD, Canadians and Americans serve side by side every day to detect, deter, and defend.
Following a ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery, their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, accompanied by Rear-Admiral Kristjan Monaghan, Canadian Defence Attaché, met @CanadianForces members based in Washington, D.C.
At Arlington National Cemetery, The King and Queen pay tribute to the Fallen at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Covering more than 600 acres, Arlington is interred with more than 400,000 veterans and their family members, alongside two former US Presidents. The cemetery also contains British Commonwealth graves.
Whilst at the cemetery, Their Majesties also met service personnel from the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand by the Canadian Cross.
At Arlington, we honour those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. As the King lays a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, we are reminded that the bond between us was built by those who served alongside each other in the cause of freedom and democracy.
Today, His Majesty the King visited the Canadian Cross of Sacrifice at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, USA.
This monument honours the Americans who, moved by a sense of duty to fight for freedom, joined the Canadian Armed Forces in the years before the United States officially entered the First World War. It was later rededicated to all Americans who joined Canadian forces in the Second World War and the Korean War.
His Majesty’s act of remembrance is a powerful reminder of the bonds between our countries.
Canada is on the ground @SeaAirSpace, connecting with U.S. partners and showcasing our maritime defence industry. Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy, Vice‑Admiral Angus Topshee, also joined to spotlight Canadian innovation and talk naval priorities with industry leaders.
The Korean War was a defining test for the newly created United Nations. The Battle of Kapyong, which began #OTD in 1951, severely tested Canadian troops and earned them a United States Presidential Unit Citation. #LestWeForget
Great to be at @SeaAirSpace and see the strong turnout from Canadian companies showcasing maritime defence innovation. Building on decades of collaboration, Canadian industries continue to provide advanced technologies that are operational with U.S. and allied forces.
C'est formidable d'être au @SeaAirSpace et de constater la forte participation des entreprises canadiennes qui présentent leurs innovations en matière de défense maritime.
NORAD was pleased to welcome Lieutenant-General Jamie Speiser-Blanchet, Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force and #RCAF Chief Warrant Officer Renee Hansen to headquarters this week.
The visit highlighted the strength of our 🇨🇦🇺🇸 binational partnership and reinforced ongoing coordination between #NORAD and the @RCAF_ARC on shared priorities, from domain awareness to capability modernization efforts. Engagements with senior leaders and subject matter experts underscore how our integrated approach remains essential to defending North America together.

Proud to see CSA Astronaut and @RCAF_ARC Colonel Jeremy Hansen make history as the first Canadian to venture beyond low Earth orbit, on board Orion with his NASA crewmates.
Another set of positive meetings yesterday on Capitol Hill, discussing key bilateral priorities from trade to defence & security, including Canada’s investments, and moving the Canada-U.S. relationship forward.
Great visit with Adm Sam Paparo, Commander @INDOPACOM, which included military-to-military discussions with colleagues from across this vital region. Looking forward to hosting them in Victoria, B.C. in August for the annual Indo-Pacific Chiefs of Defense Conference.
Canada’s commitments in support of continental defence are clear. We've invested in over-the-horizon radar; new drones & counter-drone capabilities; modernized fleets; new northern hubs; sustained @CanadianForces Arctic presence; integrated Coast Guard; cyber, AI, & space.
Finally got the pictures from my appearance speaking at the Canadian 🇨🇦 embassy last week with Rear-Admiral Kristjan Monaghan. He gave me a Canadian challenge coin, I gave him a Ryan McBeth challenge hockey puck.
For four years, the people of Ukraine have defended their country in the face of Russia’s brutal full-scale invasion. Canada will continue to stand firmly with Ukraine for as long as it takes to achieve a just and lasting peace.
