Sport is not just a game. It's a family.

We may wear different jerseys, speak different languages, come from different streets, but once we step on that pitch, we are one.

We are not just a team. We are brothers, we are family.

BEYOND FOOTBALL — BUILDING A SPORTING CULTURE FOR EVERY KWASUITE 🏆💚

Since assuming office as the Students’ Union Sports Director, I have received several concerns from KWASUITES who are passionate about sports such as volleyball, badminton, chess, Scrabble and other sporting activities. A recurring concern has been that football often receives the most attention, leaving other sports and their enthusiasts behind.

Sports should bring us together, not create a space where only one interest is recognised.

In line with the commitment of the Progress Era under the leadership of Comrade Habibullah Muhammad Gbolahan @habibullahmg , where the interest of every KWASUITE comes first, we have begun taking deliberate steps to change this.

Publicity flyers have been designed and released for Volleyball, Badminton, Chess and Scrabble to identify and bring together students who are interested in these sports. This is only the beginning.

Beyond creating awareness, we are working towards giving these sports the platform they deserve through competitions and other sporting activities.

Moving forward, more sporting activities will be publicised, more opportunities will be created, and more KWASUITES will have the chance to participate.

The goal is simple: every sport matters, and every KWASUITE should have a place in our sporting community. 🏆💚

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BROTHER, FRIEND AND SECRETARY GENERAL

Today, I celebrate not just a friend, but a brother, an ally, a trusted confidant, and a comrade whose journey with me has become one of the most memorable parts of my student leadership experience. Our friendship did not begin under ordinary circumstances; it was forged during the build-up to the NANS JCC Kwara State convention, at a time when both of us were pursuing different ambitions and navigating the complexities of student politics. Coming from the same great institution, Kwara State University, we initially sought the chairmanship ticket from our school. I eventually stepped down from the race to allow you to pursue the chairmanship, while I went ahead to contest for the position of Public Relations Officer. That moment marked the beginning of an alliance that has grown far beyond politics.

I stood firmly with you in your pursuit of the chairmanship because I believed in your capacity, leadership ability and the kind of person you are. Although destiny eventually redirected both of us from our initial aspirations, with you emerging as Secretary General and myself as Vice Chairman Academics, what we lost in positions, we gained in something far more valuable—brotherhood, trust and genuine friendship. Our journey reminds me that leadership is not always about occupying the position we desire, but about finding purpose in the position we eventually receive and making the most of the relationships built along the way.

Today, you have become one of those few people I can confidently call a true confidant. Beyond the titles of Secretary General and Vice Chairman, there is a genuine bond between us built on trust, understanding, loyalty and shared experiences. You have been a good brother and a dependable friend, and I deeply appreciate the friendship we have built since those days of political contestation. As we continue to serve students and contribute our little quota to the development of NANS JCC Kwara State, I pray that our friendship will remain stronger than the politics that brought us together. May you continue to grow in wisdom, influence and capacity, and may your leadership journey open doors beyond what you currently imagine.

On this special day, I celebrate you and pray that Almighty Allah blesses your new age with sound health, wisdom, peace of mind, greater opportunities and abundant success. May He guide your steps, elevate you in your endeavours, strengthen you to fulfil your purpose and make you a source of pride to your family, friends and the entire student community. May this new chapter bring you closer to your dreams and reward every sacrifice you have made on the path of leadership. Happy birthday, my brother, my confidant, my ally and my Secretary General. May the years ahead be greater than the ones behind you. Happy birthday, Comrade @AlobaIsmai35902 !
