Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer caught on a hot mic talking about the controversial Al data center being built despite overwhelming opposition: "We're used to people saying 'f*ck no!', and then doing it anyway."
Vietor and Longwell handwring about AIPAC becoming a household name (shoutout @TrackAIPAC). Is "extortion" really an anti-Jewish trope? Isn't that just what they do?? (AIPAC, not Jews... well except for the billionaires literally extorting American universities lol)
"I want it to end." The NeverTrump Bulwark lady continues to struggle to understand why sending hundreds of billions of dollars to blow up children has become such a particularly animating issue for voters.
In this annoying, whinging discussion about the term "genocide" being used as a litmus test, Sarah Longwell accidentally hits on something important. While the soaring economic and cultural successes of the American Jewish Golden Age have been nice, the true anxiety within the Jewish community is over the erosion of its foundation: the moral authority conferred upon Jews by the Nazi Holocaust. With Gaza (and the West Bank, Jerusalem, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran) Zionists have butchered the golden goose. Some will try to pretend otherwise, but that well of moral authority has run dry. So now what is Jewish identity without it?
@d_uth245@dandoozled_ Companies getting massive kickbacks from the US government and the billionaire donor class for conducting R&D in your freakshow country isn't proof of some inherent quality lmao ๐ฅด๐คก
Vietor attempts to handwave the genocidal racism of Israeli society with a comparison to post 9/11 America, but for all the faults of the US electorate, support for the War in Iraq only peaked at 76% and quickly fell to roughly 50% in a matter of months, compared to Israeli's support for their military's actions in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran remaining glued at around 90%. Where the revelations of Abu Ghraib resulted in mass protests, Israel's own Abu Ghraib resulted in Israelis rioting for the right to r*pe kidnapped Palestinians!
so even though we all assumed it, this proves Kaceytron's gunpoint apology was just written by Ethan and that's why it had all the lines about how "Hasan didn't support me"
imagine suing people into financial despair to force them to call you a Palestinian ally
Extremely unusual move: Arizona College Dems just rejected a demand that they condemn a candidate based on unspecified accusations. They took the radical (for today) step of asking what the actual accusations are and chided a different young Dems group for lack of transparency
This may be controversial to say, but the goal of the people marching in Colorado to "free the hostages" was to convince the US govt to send more bombs to Israel to slaughter children. That's the fundamental reason why they were targeted, not antisemitism. Josh Shapiro has fought to ban companies from complying with international law by refusing to conduct business within illegal West Bank settlements. His mansion was lit on fire because he's a pro-Israel zealot at a time when Israel is conducting a genocidal mass murder campaign on all of our screens, not because he attends a synagogue. You can argue against the legitimacy of such acts, you can even label it "terrorism" (if you still somehow find that term remotely useful), but you can only think it's anti-Jewish because Jews are unfortunately disproportionately overrepresented among pro-Israel psychopaths.
And no Tommy, Israel should not be treated like a normal country, because it isn't one. Cut it off entirely, treat it like a pariah state, otherwise it's obvious you don't genuinely believe they've done anything worthy of actual consequences.

@NTarnopolsky@RoKhanna Was Ro not aware that Israelis openly gloat about getting away with murdering Westerners, and particularly Americans? It's the ultimate trophy of sepremacism. https://t.co/kSISC2bL4D
Everyone talking about how insane this article is, but if you were too young for the 2016 election, just imagine multiple articles like this coming out every week for a solid six months
I am saddened and angered by the bomb threat directed at Dar-ul-Islam, the largest mosque in our area, yesterday morning.
Islamophobia has become all too common in our current political environment. This kind of anti-Muslim bigotry has no place in St. Louis, or anywhere else. I'm thankful that nobody was harmed by this act of hate, and I am praying for everyone in our St. Louis Muslim community whose safety was threatened.
@GoodVibePolitik Despite my disagreements with him I think Lander models a much healthier version of US Jewishness and potentially serves as a non-Zionist bridge to actual anti-Zionism. I don't think we need to put him on a pedastal but I'm happy to let him do his thing. https://t.co/sVa5C90rwm
Dana Bash grills Brad Lander about endorsing Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, and Bash appears genuinely horrified at the notion Lander could prioritize a domestic goal like Medicare for All over somewhat abstract disagreements on Israel.
