@CL16_Idn It’s not difficult to understand but the issue is that if the current situation were switched around, you would be the first to use it relentlessly against Lewis! So I guess his fans see it as ‘payback’! If only both fanbases would stop the animosity and support team and drivers!
@karnkh45928@F1_driven Where were you when every dickhead was making that comparison last year?! Of course it’s stupid but they used it as a weapon against SLH44 throughout most of last year!
@doumbelewis@FerrariF1FRA Well, they must have simulated both strategies and they must have known that if the drivers could deliver the required lap times, then the 3-stopper was faster! So I wonder why the team didn’t also put Leclerc on the aggressive faster 3-stopper?!🤷🏾♀️
@am_clutch44 I think a key factor was his stunning pace, which I suspect must have even surprised his team! I thought the softs would have gone off by lap 6-8 but he managed well and Kimi on the medium couldn’t overtake him!
And once he changed to hard-medium-hard, he became unbeatable!!!
@MPlegal1@GazzettaFerrari I think the original plan was a 2 stop and he wanted to stick to it but maybe even Ferrari didn’t expect Lewis to be that quick on the 3-stop…so he really upset the 2-stoppers. And all of them reacted to Lewis’ 1st pit stop, which was too early for the 2-stoppers!
@nerdlfc@redbullracing They all did that simply because it’s his first win in Red, which is special for every driver that goes to Ferrari!
Max winning another race with RBR would be business as usual.
@thanos876 Without the VSC, he would have still won but the gap would have been bigger than 7s. At the time of the VSC, George was closing the gap & with 7 laps before Lewis pits, the 15.9s would have reduced to 8-10s, so he would have come out with 12-14s gap. And he pulled 20s on them!!!
