Almost retired, Christian, disillusioned pro Europe Brit. Easy going, weird sense of humour, married (recommend it) with great grown up kids and grandchildren.
Here’s the deal: If you spent $3 on your coffee this morning, that’s more than what 55 major corporations paid in taxes in recent years.
It’s wrong — and it’s got to change.

So divisive as well, still setting brother against brother, sister against sister. Divide and conquer, to hell with the consequences. People have an opportunity to change this behaviour at the ballot box - be sure to use it.
@IanDunt As every new variant comes along cases will always ebb & flow of course the weather will play a part in the UK, the crucial bit is being able to update the different vaccines each year to combat hospital admissions & minimise deaths, but we MUST carry on LIVING our short LIVES.
This and Matt Hancock. Wow, clean as a whistle. Downing Street flat: PM cleared of misconduct but acted unwisely, says watchdog https://t.co/pmMiyb74Bb
Has there ever been such a stitch up in this country before? Investigations by the generals own men. Matt Hancock broke ministerial code over stake in firm https://t.co/bX1YTqPNm7
Things could be so much worse. For sure today sucked balls but it’s days like this we learn the most and grow the most. Each and every person in this team is feeling it and we’ll do what we have always done. Unite and come back and fight!
Problem with calling it out is that the situation just escalates. Security guy did a good job not rise to the abuse. Needs to be dealt with by the law. When these things are not dealt with it makes a mockery of the law.
@AlisonHammond This is devastating to see. Not just what she is saying but the fact that no one around her called her out on it! They’re just standing around, letting it happen. If we see it, we shouldn’t be silent. We need to let them know that it won’t be tolerated.
If people had followed the rules and isolated after travelling we would not have this spike. If they don’t follow the rules now what difference will next week make.
I am 54. I have never felt so down about politics. The media has created a crass, biased state. It has brainwashed the working classes to support a Government that does them down. Food banks progress ? Really??????
@LozzaFox Lots of reasons. But the answer is not handing out more free stuff.
We now have debt over 100pc of GDP. And yet there are still plenty of homeless folk. Perhaps time to conclude that many are incapable of living in regular accommodation/drug free etc.
Perhaps another point to consider is that the ‘foreign workers’ were largely well educated and took these jobs just to pay their way whilst they explored the UK. They brought culture and our country is all the less for their loss.
