This evening I witnessed a quite concerning incident, a young girl in Kitende, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, staggered through the night and tried to end her life by jumping from the 3rd floor of a building — saying “it’s a short distance.”

Fortunately, there were people to stop her (forcing her to live).
This is not enjoyment. This is a cry for help.
Alcohol and other mind-altering substances may look like a way to have fun, fit in, or escape for a while but some people lose control completely after using them.

True strength is knowing your limits and walking away.
True courage is choosing clarity over chaos.
If you’re struggling, talk to someone. And if you see a friend heading down a dangerous path, speak up.
