@resuba10ru@iluvgosha@aeromorkan > Япония
@kidukirey How do you get a drink of water in japanese style?
Develop a plan for interplanetary space travel, build a rocket, spend half a century traveling to Europa, and collect some water there to have a drink.
After the Japanese piracy argument, I now actually see why all those Isekai protagonists don't care to destroy slavery cause they see nothing wrong with it, since it's "The Law™"
@hibari_mikan If you create something, abandon it, make it near impossible for anyone to legally buy, and then cry when people copy it to preserve it, the "lack of imagination" is entirely on you.
Piracy is almost always a service problem, not a moral failure
@hibari_mikan Dude, I'm literally an open-source programmer. This is literally what I'm fighting for. Do you seriously not understand that we are consistent in our beliefs?
Yes. The developers won't suffer because of this; they aren't making any profit from you anyway. Feel free to pirate to your heart's content.
This tweet is so incredibly moronic that I feel compelled to shit out a whole thread.
1. Western countries have the concept of copyright, and in some of them, you can even go to prison for piracy. Look at Germany, for instance.
Good products will get bought regardless, Russia is the perfect example of this. In the 2000s, Russia saw a massive surge in game piracy, but that's only because publishers either refused to sell their games there or provided such abysmal service that people had no other choice.
Yet, you, you thick-headed, moronic piece of filth, would look at a situation like that and say, "Yeah, that's right, Kojima has absolutely no claim to HIS OWN GAME, nor to the engine his studio SPENT YEARS DEVELOPING in collaboration with Guerrilla Games".
