It's Day 2 for our Year 12 A Level Geography students in Swanage! They have been mastering fieldwork techniques and studying coastal stacks and arches.
Today in STEM Club, students were shown a simple way to write 'invisible' messages on a sheet of paper! Using simple kitchen ingredients like baking soda, they learned the science behind creating and revealing secret messages.

The session focused on essential soft skills and how to apply them in the world of work, helping students build habits today for their future careers.
This week in STEM Club we went hands-on with food science by extracting real gluten from flour. We washed away the starch from a simple dough ball until we were left with pure, stretchy gluten, which is the incredible protein that acts like glue and gives bread its structure!
A reminder that the Library is available on Saturday mornings from 9am-12pm for students in Years 11-13 to study. It's great to see so many students taking advantage of this space each week!
