Musk as made clear Trump's economics has "pain." That pain is about Social Security & Medicare benefits. As an old person, I was counting on those. By 2030 I could well be part of commercial like Save the Children/ASPCA

@tharple Honestly, it feels like it was written for an era gone by. The "we" in teams today are more diverse than those imagined. And perhaps there is a "for" in there now - how might we design X for (a number of different kinds of people, maybe not represented in the team).

@cdisalvo Consider the possibility that you should hold your classes outside. Instead of a white board, maybe bring out a lot of poster board and markers. To enable everyone to see - bring sticks. Then write some summary statements: Pro-science, Pro-health, Pro-Vax.

@npseaver Do people really need to learn to think or just do a job, especially for the cost of education. What undergraduate & graduate education are seems to be under going some pressures to be a little reflective about itself now. Good luck with that

@npseaver Largely (not entirely) it is funding of professions over education. @gillianrhayes recent letter points to even more targeted professional learning in post-grad years via layering/certificates. Several companies have done experiments on the fringes of this idea, especially in CS.

@BoggisNews @jason_a_w I kind of remember the post-Nixon days and somehow, no one admitted to have voted for him. Must have been MASSIVE voter fraud, or something :-) Trump has more of a cult than Nixon but I can see why alt-R groups might disassociate - hurts the PR and fund raising.
