I would like to clarify that Norbert Events is not a staff member of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), nor does he currently hold any position or office within PLU.
At PLU, we receive more than 500 people in a single day, and we are fortunate that many of those who visit us are not seeking financial assistance. They come for different reasons: some want to be recognized, others want to endorse Gen. @mkainerugaba as their next President, while others come seeking guidance on various issues.
At PLU, we are like a hospital: we welcome and receive everyone without asking about their religion, tribe, or political affiliation. You all saw this recently at the Wakiso Baraza, where a group of people from NUP attended and endorsed Gen. Muhoozi.
Norbert came to PLU just like any other supporter, and we welcomed him in the same way we welcome everyone who visits our headquarters. No one at the PLU Secretariat is assigned the responsibility of investigating the background or activities of every person who walks through our doors. In fact, we also welcome people who may have made mistakes and are willing to be guided, reformed, and shown the right direction.
Those accusing PLU simply because Norbert was wearing a T-shirt bearing Gen. MK’s image are looking for a small excuse to start a fight with us. We distribute these T-shirts to members of the public because of the high demand from our supporters. We cannot dictate what Norbert, or any other visitor, chooses to wear. He is an adult who makes his own decisions and plans his own day.
The public should also be aware that Norbert is an elected NRM LC1 Chairperson in Makindye not a PLU official. His visit to the PLU headquarters in Naguru and to the Chairman’s office in Nakasero should therefore not be interpreted as having any connection to the cases before the courts.
PLU remains open to everyone, regardless of their political background, and our doors will continue to remain open to anyone seeking guidance, engagement, or an opportunity to support Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
@SarahBireete We Ugandans love OKWEKWATSA(using excuses/fake reasons) to divert attention from real problems. Because i think that SOVEREIGNTY LAW may not even constitute 1% of the reasons the economy isn't doing great.
Things we prefer to hush-hush....We lose about 15% of our budget to CORRUPTION, annually. Actually put at over Shs 10 trillion out of a budget of Shs 84trillion. We spend another 54% of the GDP to debt servicing, which increases every day, to run our POLITICAL GOVERNANCE SYSTEM! So about Shs 40trillion is spent on POLITICS, PATRONAGE, SALARIES OF POLITICAL EMPLOYEES like the 600MPs...etc...
So how much is left for Production, investment, and social services?
Then you virtually import everything, from TPs to Mangoes, even Milk...to Drugs, to Toothpicks& .....
Man!!!!!
Good morning patriots,
The work before us is soo immense, the burden to ensure we have a peaceful future as a country through enabling a peaceful transition lays on our shoulders.
As the technical head of the PLU Secretariat, I call upon our Patriotic Officers, Patriotic cadres and supporters to remain focused and avoid diversion.
Let's mobilize our people to endorse our next President Gen.@mkainerugaba and build our strength at the grassroots. Ensuring Gen @mkainerugaba is our next President is our mission and strengthening our grassroots shall be our power.
For those interested in making content, it's their right but to us, our focus is the future and the future is @mkainerugaba.
On that note, I call upon all Patriots to cease fire and refocus their energy to the real work that our Chairman Gen @mkainerugaba has put before us and not make it be like "which man is stronger than the other", we are given these office to serve and strengthen PLU and our Chairman knows exactly who performs which roles.
If we chose the ego path, we lose focus and the very ideals we stand for as PLU, that will be betrayal to our appointing authority and our country that has vested their hopes in us.
All our leaders at all levels I appreciate the work your doing, let's keep it up.
Let's be humble, let's recruit but let's not accept to lose anyone because we need everyone on board.
