#🇲🇲🇲🇲🇲🇲You keep stubbornly denying everything by saying, “It’s just a fictional fantasy series.” You take the cultural heritage of neighboring countries, use it in your productions, refuse to acknowledge its origins, and refuse to give credit.
The costume designer of that series even said on social media four or five years ago that they really loved Myanmar traditional clothing. At that time, we already had our suspicions. We were saying that they seemed interested in Myanmar culture and might eventually copy our traditional costumes and present them as their own.
Even back then, we were willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. We thought that if they were inspired by or used Myanmar traditional clothing, they would at least give Myanmar credit. We even welcomed the fact that Myanmar clothing was being featured in the series.
But now, you are openly presenting it as Lanna culture.
Lanna culture may have similarities to Myanmar culture because Myanmar once ruled the region, leaving behind historical and cultural influences. However, the original source, according to our historical position, is Myanmar. Myanmar’s Konbaung Dynasty traditional clothing came first, while Lanna clothing developed later and has its own distinct differences.
If you cannot provide historical evidence to support your claims, then stop stubbornly denying the issue.
What a disgrace. 🤮🤮🤮
#Please do not copy Myanmar’s traditional cultural attire. 🇲🇲🇲🇲🇲🇲❤️❤️❤️ #LUNNA comes second. This tradition dates back to the reign of King Bayinnaung of Myanmar. However, the ornaments you have used originate from the Konbaung period of the Royal City of Mandalay, passed down through the generations of King Alaungpaya’s descendants.
Although cultural exchange between nations is a real part of history, these ornaments are not part of LUNNA’s own cultural heritage. Please respect the true origins of this cultural heritage and acknowledge it accurately. Do not misrepresent another country’s culture as your own.
