@NeKap We only see fully vaccinated COVID patients who are exceptionally high risk (over 70 or so, asthma, COPD, etc) so that it’s aggravating existing conditions, and they’re usually out in a few hours. If more people were vaccinated, we could actually manage this and not be buried!
@NeKap I work in a hospital. We’re swamped and drowning in unvaccinated COVID patients; our ICU is full and they usually end up here for 2-3 weeks, with a couple more coming in each day (and we’re a SMALL hospital).(1/2)

My latest post is a guest post from philosopher and author Thom van Dooren. I read his book, The Wake of Crows, and loved the ways it challenged the traditional ecologist in me. Science should collab with the humanities more often. Check it out now! https://t.co/VcDwIN7Kr3
Banding highlight this week: incredibly rare event of an adult male Rivoli’s deciding to hang out for a minute after being fed! #hummingbirds#hummingbirdmonitoringnetwork
Forgot to share hummingbirds here last week! We’ve got a Violet Crown, juvenile broadbill, adult broadbill, and a juvenile Rivoli’s! #hummingbirds, #HMN,
This is how I spent Sunday morning - I’m basically apprentice bander this year! This babby is a juvenile broadbill male who probably fledged not long ago that decided to hang out after being fed!
