“QUESTION 4: Of the manly virtues (courage, wisdom, discipline, patience, chastity, industry, honor), which one is weakest in you right now? What habits, friendships, and disciplines will you build the first year after high school to grow it?”
.@KentuckyMBB is 2-0 all-time when playing Louisville on December 12th:
- 1987: #1 UK - 76 UofL - 75 (@Rupp_Arena)
@RexChapman led the Wildcats in scoring with 21 points, but it was Cedric Jenkins’ late tip-in, his only made field goal of the game, that provided the difference for UK. https://t.co/Y0BYiGigLI
R. C. Sproul: “God just doesn't throw a life preserver to a drowning person. He goes to the bottom of the sea, and pulls a corpse from the bottom of the sea, takes him up on the bank, breathes into him the breath of life and makes him alive.”
It's a great day to bring back this AMAZING Paul Washer quote on the sanctifying nature of marriage:
"How would you ever learn unconditional love if you were married to someone who met all the conditions?
How would you ever learn mercy, patience, long-suffering, heart-felt compassion if you were married to someone who never failed you?
Who is never difficult with you?
Who never sinned against you?
Who is never slow to acknowledge their sin or ask for forgiveness?
How would you ever learn grace, to pour out your favor on someone who did not deserve it, if you were married to someone who was always deserving of all good things?
The main purpose of marriage is that through your marriage, you both become conformed to the image of Jesus Christ."
This looks like it's a daytime shot, but, it's actually taken from the dark side of Earth, with the planet illuminated by moonlight. This lets faint details like the aurora, stars and the sodium layer show up without over exposing the planet.
Worship is rarely sweeter and more heartfelt than in times of trial, because God is often in the process of removing physical treasures that compete with himself for the captivation of your heart.
You’ll find him on podcasts and in pulpits, but everything he does is for social media. He’s the man who has confused being provocative with being profound, who mistakes the ability to offend for the courage to lead.
He is the edgelord.

I am reading the whole Bible this year and I have entered the long, grueling journey that is Leviticus. This is the elephant graveyard of optimistic read through the Bible in a year enthusiasts. If you need to know specific information about skin rashes, I've got you.
A great articulation by @gavinortlund of the issue here with @jamestalarico’s recent statements.
It should be obvious that his statements about the Bible never talking about abortion and gay marriage are foolish. Alongside that though, what really stood out to me was James then saying that “how we’re going to be saved” is by essentially a description of moralistic pragmatism. Not only is that *not* how you’re going to be saved, it’s literally the opposite of how that happens.

In December 2025, former US Senator @BenSasse announced that he had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. That's the primary topic for this @UncKnowledge conversation about mortality, faith, and what truly matters when time is short.
Talking to host @P_M_Robinson, Sasse reflects on "redeeming the time"—holding ambition lightly, loving family more deliberately, and resisting the urge to make politics or professional success the center of life.
The discussion also covers Sasse's thoughts on the failures of Congress; the dangers of a fragmented, attention-starved republic; the crisis of higher education; and the moral challenges of technological abundance.
He speaks candidly and movingly about regret, forgiveness, prayer, and suffering—arguing that while death is a real enemy, it does not get the final word. Watch the full conversation on X:
Lonesome Dove might be the best limited series ever made. Robert Duvall & Tommy Lee Jones are historically great in this series. This aired in 1989 but still holds up so well- it’s a timeless Western epic. Duvall is right in the middle of his prime here. One of the best ever.
