ISIS praised the Bondi Beach Hanukkah terror attack, calling it "a source of pride," without explicitly claiming responsibility. In the latest issue of its "Al-Naba" newspaper, ISIS also endorsed the deadly attack on U.S. troops in Syria's Palmyra, again, without claiming responsibility.
Reporter: You are the most powerful man on earth, why do you just enable Ukraine to finish this war tomorrow?
Trump: If you knew anything about what you were talking about—
Reporter: I do
Trump: You do? I don’t think you do
A Russian drone strike hit a kindergarten in Kharkiv – after a massive attack overnight. Unfortunately, one person has been killed – my condolences to the bereaved family. As of now, seven people have been injured and are receiving medical care. All the children have been evacuated and are now in shelters. Preliminary reports indicate that many are showing acute stress reactions.
There is no justification for a drone strike on a kindergarten, nor can there ever be. Clearly, Russia is growing more brazen. These strikes are Russia’s spit in the face to everyone who insists on a peaceful resolution.
Thugs and terrorists can only be put in their place by force.
54 years ago today, I won $4,000 in a tournament, and became the first woman athlete to earn $100,000 in prize money in a single year.
Today, professional tennis players represent 7 of the top 10 highest paid women athletes.
So much progress has been made.
But we're not done yet!
@NRL Build that man his statue!!!
Don’t think we don’t see what you do for us Payne. All the little things, in pain, full back too … so I say again … start building his statue!!
A brutally savage Russian airstrike with an aerial bomb on the rural settlement of Yarova in the Donetsk region. Directly on people. Ordinary civilians. At the very moment when pensions were being disbursed. According to preliminary information, more than 20 people were killed. There are no words… My condolences to all the families and loved ones of the victims.
Such Russian strikes must not be left without an appropriate response from the world. The Russians continue destroying lives while avoiding new strong sanctions and new strong blows. The world must not remain silent. The world must not remain idle. A response is needed from the United States. A response is needed from Europe. A response is needed from the G20. Strong actions are needed to make Russia stop bringing death.

Right now in Kyiv, first responders are clearing the rubble of an ordinary residential building after a Russian strike. Another massive attack against our cities and communities. Killings again. Tragically, at least 8 people have already been confirmed dead. One of them is a child. My condolences to all their families and loved ones.
People may still be trapped under the rubble. Dozens are wounded. These Russian missiles and attack drones today are a clear response to everyone in the world who, for weeks and months, has been calling for a ceasefire and for real diplomacy. Russia chooses ballistics instead of the negotiating table. It chooses to continue killing instead of ending the war. And this means that Russia still does not fear the consequences. Russia still takes advantage of the fact that at least part of the world turns a blind eye to murdered children and seeks excuses for Putin.
We expect a reaction from China to what is going on. China has repeatedly called for not expanding the war and for a ceasefire. Yet this is not happening because of Russia. We expect a reaction from Hungary. The death of children should definitely stir far greater emotions than anything else. We expect a response from everyone in the world who has called for peace but now more often stays silent rather than taking principled positions.
And it is definitely time for new, tough sanctions against Russia for everything it is doing. All deadlines have already been broken, dozens of opportunities for diplomacy ruined. Russia must feel accountable for every strike, for every day of this war. Eternal memory to all victims of Russia!
The Broncos have arrived in Melbourne ahead of a season-defining showdown with the Storm. Against the premiership favourites, Brisbane not only hopes to shatter a staggering record, but prove they're contenders, not pretenders. https://t.co/6QvR0OCb7C @mitchkroehn#7NEWS
Elina Svitolina showed the abusive & horrific messages she received from bettors after her loss to Naomi Osaka in Montreal.
Her response to them:
“To all the bettors: I'm a mom before I'm an athlete. The way you talk to women - to mothers - is SHAMEFUL. If your moms saw your messages, they'd be disgusted...”
Couldn’t have said it better. These people are sick.

Today, we have another important decision within the framework of the initiative to procure American weapons – an additional $500 million from our friends in Northern Europe: Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. The implementation will be coordinated with NATO through the Prioritised Ukraine Requirement List. I thank @SwedishPM Ulf Kristersson, Prime Minister of Norway @jonasgahrstore, Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen @Statsmin, and @SecGenNATO Mark Rutte.
This is a very strong initiative that significantly boosts our ability to protect lives. Yesterday, there was a €500 million contribution from the Netherlands; today, another half-billion dollars in support. This will be felt. And it will serve as a strong example for other NATO countries to strengthen the security ties between America and Europe and to ensure protection from Russian strikes.
We equally value the major contribution of our Nordic partners not only in the supply of weapons but also in developing our joint defense production and enhancing Ukraine’s own defense industry capacity.
These steps are a new, real foundation for long-term security across all of Europe. Russia will never turn Europe into a continent of war, and it is precisely through our joint efforts that we are ensuring peace will prevail.
A productive conversation with President Trump, with the key focus of course being ending the war. We are grateful to @POTUS for all efforts toward a just and lasting peace. It is truly a must to stop the killing as soon as possible, and we fully support this. Many months could have already passed without war, had Russia not been prolonging it.
Today, we coordinated our positions – Ukraine and the United States. We exchanged assessments of the situation: The Russians have intensified the brutality of their attacks. President Trump is fully informed about Russian strikes on Kyiv and other cities and communities.
Of course, we spoke about sanctions against Russia. Their economy continues to decline, and that’s exactly why Moscow is so sensitive to this prospect and President Trump’s resolve. This can change a lot.
We discussed joint European decisions that can help our defense. We already have commitments from the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark – over one billion dollars for American weapons that Ukraine will receive. Thank you! This cooperation with NATO countries will continue.
We also discussed our bilateral defense cooperation with America. The draft agreement on drones has already been prepared by the Ukrainian side, we are ready to discuss it in detail and conclude it. One of the strongest agreements this could be.
Thank you to every American heart that supports our defense of life. Thank you, President Trump!
