على مدى سنوات، استُخدم مصطلح “عرب إسرائيل” للإشارة إلى فلسطينيي الداخل، بوصفه توصيفًا لواقعٍ قانوني ومدني فرض علينا.

أما اليوم، ومع التحولات التي يشهدها الشرق الأوسط، وارتماء فئات من العرب في أحضان إسرائيل بهذه الصورة الفجّة، وظهور مجموعات وشخصيات عربية تتبنى الرواية الإسرائيلية، وتدافع عن سياساتها، وتهاجم كل من يعارضها، اصبح هذا المصطلح بحاجة إلى إعادة تعريف.

فـ”عرب إسرائيل” بات يصف سلوك من اختار، وهو يملك كل البدائل، أن يجعل إسرائيل مرجعيته السياسية وبوصلته طوعا.

Dr. Tanya Haj-Hassan told him the issue was no longer a lack of information. It was what he was choosing to dismiss.

She listed the UN, Doctors Without Borders, Save the Children, the International Court of Justice, and the independent witnesses who were actually allowed into Gaza.

Israel and its terr*r forces caused the avoidable death of four-month-old Palestinian baby Ahmed Ma’rouf Ahmed Zaid from the village of Deir Ammar, northwest of Ramallah, after preventing him from being transported through a checkpoint gate to a waiting ambulance.
