Swept away by the raging Kern River, a woman is found clinging to the underside of a cliff.

Newly released aerial footage captures the dramatic rescue after the woman was carried downstream by the fast-moving current in California. Rescuers spotted her partially submerged, hanging on beneath a rock, before pulling off a life-saving rescue.

Officials warn the Kern River is extremely dangerous, with powerful currents, icy water, and hidden hazards that can overwhelm even experienced swimmers.
