Do #honeybee s #hibernate during winter? Well, not specifically. They will group up around the center frames. They take turns rotating in to the center to share body heat (much like penguins) and eat. On warm days they do bathroom flights and remove the dead #beekeeping

Old green depression glass, burmese glass, vaseline glass and clear, pressed glass before 1930 glow under #uvlight or #blacklight, due ​to the #uranium oxide content. It's a fun treasure hunt to check any #seaglass or #beachglass I enjoy the hunt

One thing I've done during wet/rainy cold seasons is tilt the #hive forward slightly to allow moisture to roll out the front of the hive instead of freezing on the bottom and freezing the bees #nowyouknow #brownsbeeservice #winterbeekeeping #beekeeper #michiganbeekeeper
