At this rate, New Jersey is going to have the need for a Hotshot Crew in their state.

Folks out east are starting to get a clear view of why robust wildfire programs are needed and wildfires are not just a “western problem” anymore.

Maybe some of these elected officials from the eastern states can get on board with the much needed changes and support for our wildland firefighters.

This Jones Fire is a wake up call.

More views of the wildfire ripping across Long Island, New York. Fire resources from across the state are responding to the fire near the Hamptons.

The column can be seen in Connecticut and aviation is overhead. Current temps are 42 degrees with sustained winds pushing 30MPH+.

New York: In an unexpected turn of events, wind has caused the Jennings Creek Fire to jump lines on the New York side of the fire.

“Updates out of Greenwood Lake and Warwick. Evacuations are now taking place after the fire has jumped the fire lines once again and is now endangering residences.”

The fire was called 90% contained this morning before the winds came up. Red Flag conditions in the Northeast are affecting 42M people across multiple states.

Something you don’t see everyday, New York Police helicopters doing bucket work on the fire outside Putnam, NY.

The NY State Police, NY Department of Environmental Protection, Forest rangers, and local departments continue to work multiple fires in the state that stared over the weekend.

[PA Department of Conservation & Natural Resources @DCNRnews]

With the continued dry weather, there is a possibility of increased wildfire danger in state parks and forests, and all across Pennsylvania.

Please refrain from burning, or if you have to, be extra careful before starting any fire while enjoying the outdoors, and remember to extinguish all campfires with lots of water.

Stremme jumps the start, then drives into his customers LR into turn 1 giving himself a rf flat. That was a pretty dumb turn of events.

Remember folks, it’s 4th of July…. Party, have fun, set off fireworks all week, and celebrate America. If you don’t want to, stay inside and don’t call the cops because someone else is enjoying themselves or your dog is scared... That’s all.
