@CycloneFB Please bring back yellow helmets with the red Cyclones text for at least one game. I loved those helmets as a kid in the early 90s.

Why does Michael Irvin look like Rick James?

[Kyle Benning @kyle_benning]

@SamOlbur Seems like 3 innings is about all he has before the wheels fall off.

Time for a phantom IL to get some extra rest, or start piggybacking him with Assad

He just pitches the Cubs offense right out of games

Shota celebrating the 4th of July the best way he knows how, by giving up a bomb the first pitch of the game.

@CycloneWR Ouch.

Thought he was rolling when he jumped out to a 7-0 lead.

It's best to not ask questions. Just roll with the funk.

Here’s a 🎥 of Vinny Zerban and MJ Gaitan getting a scrap in yesterday during team practice at Rocket Arena.

Two of the funkiest wrestlers on the team!

I find the funkiness is only different in that MJ is much more expressive/explosive in his emotions than Vinny who somehow does the same level of crazy scrambles just with like a really calm demeanor? It’s fascinating.

This is my favorite type of wrestling despite the risks of ending up too easily on the losing side of things but it’s just exhilarating to watch.

Yonger Bastida - Big 12 Wrestler of the Year

Everyone needs a Metcalf in their corner 😃

[Jacqueline @JacquelineCord]

During MJ Gaitan’s match he had an insane throw where his opponent landed flat on his back. It was shocking and yet not surprising from someone like MJ.

Here’s what Coach Metcalf had to say about his match:

“Man, it looked like a WWE hold, didn’t it? So that’s MJ. He actually was a little sloppy, but then was getting more solid and kind of ended up in a funky position.

That’s what makes him special, is when an opportunity is there, he sees it and he takes it.“

It's official. Yonger Bastida is your Big 12 Wrestler of the Year.

• 25-0 this season
• 11 wins over top-15 opponents
• 53-2 in his last 55 matches

The most dominant wrestler in the conference:
• 15 tech falls (leads the nation)
• 18 bonus-point wins (15 TF, 2 pins, 1 MD)
• Averaging 4.48 team points per match

Now a two-time Big 12 champion and his title match win in Tulsa was his 100th career win.

What a career he has had and there's so much wrestling left. All eyes on Cleveland.

Honoring Bobby Douglas.

The Cyclones wore Bobby Douglas t-shirts at practice today to remember a legendary figure in our sport.

Iowa State will wear a patch honoring Douglas on its warm-ups during the NCAA Championships this week.
