@LukeBarnett Good for you, Luke! Follow your intuition and take your shot! I did the same thing earlier this year. I wonder if your 1970s character had anything to do with this one 😉

@AusScreenwriter@spyderdobro Years ago, I had an agent tell me “in television, casting is looking for ‘believable but forgettable’ for the co-stars.”
That’s so backwards to me. I don’t care if a character only says one word; I would still like to cast someone who leaves an impression
@ChristGamer77@razorfist It feels like the trend to make dialogue more “believable” has created a giant chasm in the last twenty years: characters who inspire us to elevate ourselves vs characters who are a reflection of where we currently are.
I miss intelligent dialogue.
@Variety In his book The Kindest Cut, @MillarEmanuel (Angelina’s personal hairstylist on Girl, Interrupted…and four other films) discusses this very “issue.” From his perspective, Angelina did not have anything against Winona; she was just insecure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@KyleGallner Thank you for being a good role model for other actors. Promoting not just your own film the right way, but all indie film. Been a fan of yours since The Outsiders. Thought you were one of the brightest spots in the reboot of Nightmare on Elm Street 👍
@emanuel_millar6@Variety Emanuel goes into more detail about working with both of them in his book The Kindest Cut: Intuitive Life Lessons Learned by a Hollywood Hairstylist. Available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, https://t.co/HCq75fCgou and/or in hard copy at @BookSoup in West Hollywood
@notgwendalupe This is one of my favorites. From The Kindest Cut: Intuitive Life Lessons Learned by a Hollywood Hairstylist by @emanuel_millar6
Many many phenomenal stories in the book. Check out his profile/bio for the link to purchase 😊
@carriemilburn@emma_keady @moirawebb @emanuel_millar6@juliannehough Thank you, Carrie! It’s a fantastic book. He’s worked with Tina Turner, Bill Murray, Angelina, Cate Blanchett, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and many more! Amazing stories and brutally honest perspectives. It’s really about the lessons he learned 😊
@emma_keady @moirawebb You want stories, Emma??? Read The Kindest Cut: Intuitive Life Lessons Learned by a Hollywood Hairstylist by Emanuel Millar. Or better yet, reach out to him directly: @emanuel_millar6
Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Connelly, Anne Hathaway, @juliannehough and many more stories
@moirawebb @emanuel_millar6@Janefonda@juliannehough “Hello, Jennifer.”
‘She looked at me with a dead stare. Not as if she were trying to recount if she knew me. It felt more like I was a foreign object that flew into the room, and it needed to not be there, or Jennifer was not going to be happy.’
😳
@moirawebb In his book, The Kindest Cut (Vol 2), @emanuel_millar6 talks about working with her on Monster-In-Law (personal hairstylist for @Janefonda). Years later, while hairstyling for @juliannehough on The Morning Show, he ran into Jennifer again; she acted like he didn’t exist 😒
@Variety Not surprised that he would do this. Always seemed like a class act. @emanuel_millar6 wrote as such in Volume 1 of The Kindest Cut, during their time working together on Three Men and a Little Lady
