A tragedy unfolds in Madikwe NP in S. Africa. Elephant overpopulation that's been allowed to continue for years coming to a head. 100% predictable (indeed, predicted) & avoidable. You haven't heard about it because it's a failure of protectionist model.

@SkyHelpTeam Can you reply to my DM please? Trying to join you as a broadband customer but speaking to someone seems to be impossible, not a good look when people who want to join your service can’t get the assistance they require…
This is so depressing - surely there is NOTHING more important than having a habitable planet?! Even the fund mentioned is voluntary, I think. Govts will spend to respond to climate linked events, but not properly reduce them. It's a huge, terrible failure https://t.co/bRQbQaze8P
We lost one of the all-time greats… Quincy Jones 👑
Today, the world lost a true musical giant, a visionary whose influence spans generations and genres.
Quincy Jones wasn’t just a producer - he was an innovator who revolutionised the worlds of soul, jazz, hip-hop, and even electronic music. His unparalleled ability to bring together musicians from all walks of life inspired a global shift in the music industry, blending genres and cultures like no one else. He shaped the sounds of global superstars like Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson and Aretha Franklin, whilst always focusing on mentoring a new generation of artists coming through.
Quincy was nominated for 80 Grammy Awards, winning 28 of them. He sold millions of albums as a solo artist and through his production and writing. He composed scores for over 30 films, including classics like “In the Heat of the Night” and “The Color Purple”.
His love for music and approach to life was a masterclass in creativity and collaboration, which will have a cultural impact that will live on forever.
Rest in peace, Quincy. 💫
