Canadians: friendly reminder that you can simultaneously be horrified by the realities of Canada’s stained history and treatment of indigenous people, while also very much proud of your neighbourhood, the Canadian values that shaped you, and the country you were raised in. 🇨🇦
This week on Key of A, we salute the late #YYC music scene legend Marvin Kee (@theflymuse) and get into some great new tunes from Albertans. Check it out today at 5PM MT on CBC Radio One across Alberta or anytime worldwide via CBC Listen on demand.
@ZachWilsonNBA Lol well obviously neither of us is coach, just fans. This whole thread was because U were essentially discounting the poor officiating because the raptors should have played better, and you implied poor play was more at fault than bad reffing in the final minutes, & I disagree.
@ZachWilsonNBA This is the classic coach response - counting free throws missed, turnovers, rebound diff. “If we did this better, we wouldn’t have to rely on the refs”. All different ways to be better next time… which is good, but still doesn’t negate the blatant poor officiating. Sorry man.
@ZachWilsonNBA So - that’s the thing.
The raptors haven’t performed well in the clutch this season. They’re the away team. They are 100% the underdog in this scenario.
They don’t need to then also have the refs working against them. That’s exactly what’s upsetting about this finish.
@ZachWilsonNBA I’m still going to be upset about the reffing, sorry man. It was brutal. Raptors played a great game. Complete game? No but they deserved this one. I shouldn’t be able to notice Scott Foster’s influence as much as I did.
Tata Martino was asked if Mexico can dominate tomorrow's night game vs Argentina:
"Why not? We all watched Canada versus Belgium. That first half was a clinic by Canada. So why not try? From my POV, Canada has showed the best football after the first slate of games."
