@MakersPlace Far less important than the work itself which has a universal audience, but language comprehension aside, it is the most effective way to add context, remove ambiguity, and guide thought in a succinct way.
Kicked off this 1/1 auction on MakersPlace...
I grew up with Kyle Dunn, lifeguarded together and went to the same college. He became a fulltime artist / woodworker after college and has been mastering his craft as an artist in all mediums.
When I visited him back in 2012, he was making a living doing wood furniture in Berkley CA. I bought my dining room table and coffee tables from him (1st big boy purchase and still using it today :) )
His passion / side project was his art... what you see below is a physical that starts digitally. Fast forward 10 years, Kyle's work has been showcased / sold in many galleries around the world. When digital art / NFTs became a thing, we spoke about it but we were sure how he'd enter the world as he was only used to the trad art world.
When we developed TRACE, I called Kyle stoked we finally had something he could understand and utilize for tracking the provenance / COA for his artworks. I asked Kyle to be part of our 1st TRACE exhibition with MakersPlace during Miami Art Week. I am stoked to kick off this auction and if Im lucky, Ill get one of our first TRACE physical x digital from a dear friend and insanely talented artist.
We are getting our self service portal ready for artists and galleries to purchase TRACE and utilize them in their practice. If interested in this, please sign up via the linktree link. <3
TRACE x Transient Labs will be a main catalyst merging the digital x traditional art worlds together. Stoked to play part in this revolution and hopefully have Kyles work to remember this for the years to come. 🚀 .
