Just one more reason to dislike the portal and the current state of this broken system. The #ncaa needs leadership now before they are no longer relevant.
PSA to high schoolers - take D3 serious and be appreciative of D3 offers.
Parents & Coaches - stop saying your son/player is D1.
Unpopular and blunt but the truth!
Hey @JayBilas Yet another thing the @NCAA is doing to harm High School Athletes. The portal and additional years of eligibility take opportunities away from lots of kids as coaches are paid to win and buy rather than build and teach.
The NCAA is giving "serious consideration" to a five-year age-based eligibility concept, per @RossDellenger
Division I Cabinet members will meet today to discuss further.
@McWilliamsTime Not sure how Calhoun or Boeheim made the list and not at 10? Glad to see them go all the way back to the 80s with the exception of Rupp. Dumb list
@JayBilas one thing Iโm not sure I have ever heard you speak on is the effect of the portal on high school kids. HS kids have to wait on college coaches to fill in the portal as they go up and down divisions and theyโre hung out to dry or miss out completely.
If Bill Self leaves I think itโs time to go outside of the family
