@glass_heff_full I can relate.
Had some copies of mine printed for committee members and then noticed on the cover page I had written UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSON

@kimthi1011@tangming2005 This will also depend on what kind of samples you are working with. If you expect a high amount of contaminating seqs then the assigned % will be lower. I've found that looking at the breakdown of Unassigned reads (Ambiguity, NoFeatures, Unmapped, etc.) is informative too for QC
@kimthi1011@tangming2005 This is something I have wondered as well. Generally we seem to get meaningful results with assigned reads >50%. Comparing assigned read % across all samples and identifying low % outliers could also be a useful strategy rather than setting a strict cutoff.
@TheStatsMedic What is the capitalization rule for reporting test stats? i.e. t-test vs. T-test, t-statistic vs. T-statistic, z-score vs Z-score, etc...? I am seeing both and not sure what is standard.
Our first doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine arrived this morning. The first UW Health employees will receive the vaccine this afternoon, following federal and state guidelines to begin vaccinating frontline healthcare workers.
This graph really highlights the importance of keeping up social distancing and mask wearing in (at least) the first two weeks following the first dose of the vaccine. You don't get immunity right away.
Vaccine = blue 🔵
Placebo = red 🔴
