@BrianCostin If only somebody would have warned Arlington Heights not to try to rob them blind with property taxes before they even put a shovel in the ground on a stadium.
@SpeakerWelchIL I paid $107 for a tank of gas yesterday. According to state averages I would have paid $1.12 less per gallon in Indiana. When is that relief at the gas pump you all keep spewing?
@imrighturwrongk@abbysgramps@ErikLambert1 It was pointing out that anybody would fight to pay less in taxes if they had the means. I am exempt from property tax and I don’t go out of my way to still pay. And I hope they leave. Then maybe Chicago will quit voting for these politicians that are ruining the state.
@hornsbykid@ErikLambert1 Do you know how many teams don’t actually play in their namesake cities? You really think Chicago is going to win that? Have you ever heard of the East Rutherford Jets and Giants? Maybe the Santa Clara 49ers? Arlington Cowboys? The list goes on and on.
@CTULocal1 Isn’t Pritzker a billionaire that took Illinois tax dollars for his personal business? At least try to appear like it’s about the billionaires and not the political party.
@JulianaStratton Do corporate special interests include the tax breaks and grants given to Pritzker’s family business? Weren’t you Lt Gov when that happened?
@nflrums Greedy politicians overplayed their hand. Could have waited until the stadium was built and then jacked up the property tax. Instead they went all gas, no brakes on the taxes and are on the verge of running them out of the state.
@KurtBenkert I’m a Bears fan and I can say you’re not wrong. The only thing that really worried me about their offense is the WR speed. Y’all have some fast ones, but don’t take advantage of that all that often. They should outrun most CBs in the league.
