@media_thom @homesteader23 It's just going to depend how long the tree has been dead. Think of it like this, whether logged or died from EAB, the clock starts when the tree dies, its starts loosing moisture and becomes susceptible to the elements. If fresh there may be quality on the interior.

@media_thom @homesteader23 20 years inspecting hardwood lumber. There is nothing different about the grain, it's still the same tree. Of course the quality of the wood will be inferior, it's full of worm holes and most likely stained and possibly rotten, which will let it dry faster and split easier.

The IRS is threatening to seize a Tennessee man's farm after charging him interest on a $20,000 refund it accidentally sent him, which he immediately tried to return.

Wilson Perry Kirby, 76, says he was accidentally sent $20,000 by the IRS in 2022.

Kirby immediately tried returning the money and even hired an accountant to fix the issue.

Instead, the IRS is now charging him interest on the money he tried returning and is withholding his 2025 tax refund.

"I've tried the president, governor, mayor. They don't mind asking you to vote for them, but when you need help you can't get ahold of nobody," Kirby said.

Despite trying to fix the problem, the IRS is still sending letters, demanding he pay interest on the money they accidentally sent him that he tried to return. He never spent it.

The IRS is now threatening to seize his farm if he doesn't pay the up to $4300 (and growing) interest.

Infuriating.

Today I was reminded I am NOT A FREE MAN.

I got the mail & found my property tax bill.

I paid for my home & owe nothing on it.

Yet, every year I am FORCED to pay higher & higher taxes on something I bought many years ago.

If I refuse to pay, men with guns will throw me in a cage & seize MY PROPERTY & possessions.

But hey that government funded slush fund to pay off r@pe victims from our senators & "representatives" isn't going to fund itself right?!

We are taxed well over 50% if you add up income tax, property tax, sales tax, fuel tax, etc etc etc!!!

The founders started a rebellion over a 1% tea tax.
