JJ Redick’s first 2 seasons as the Lakers head coach:
50 wins in Year 1. 53 wins in Year 2. Top 4 in the West both times. First Lakers coach with back-to-back 50-win seasons since Phil Jackson. A 57-4 record when leading after 3 quarters.
He came in with zero coaching experience, inherited a roster riddled with injuries, navigated a mid-season franchise player trade, and still never dipped below the standard.
Everyone said he had no business being here. Two years later, he has proven everyone wrong.
JJ Redick ABSOLUTELY deserves more respect around this league 💯
The Lakers won 53 games which was way more than every media outlet predicted, despite 4/5 starters playing less than 65 games
And now the Lakers are up 2-0 in the first round without Luka and Austin Reaves

Wow. Ryan Nembhard falls into the perfect situation in Dallas. So special as a playmaker, and he'll be surrounded by so much length to mitigate concerns about his size on defense. A+ team/prospect fit.
After 7 amazing years at Macalester, it’s time for a new chapter. I am deeply grateful for the players, staff and the entire Macalester community who made it an unforgettable journey 💙🧡
