I write sad songs and perform them for folks who will listen.
Gainesville, FL via Nashville, GA.
My album 'All It Does Is Rain' now streaming everywhere!
Somebody came onto our property last night, stole our political sign & peeled out in our driveway. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that ours & another sign down the road went missing the weekend of the “Trump boat rally”. Stay classy
Cue the pissed off white folks that are “never ever listening to another Stapleton song ever again”. If you can’t listen to artists you disagree with politically, your playlist is gonna be whittled down to six Kid Rock albums and a book on tape read by Scott Baio come November.
Here in Gainesville, FL we got this place called Payne's Prairie. I heard some thunder so I took a drive to watch the weather roll in. The Prairie never fails to paint a beautiful scene.
It was super kind of @jacko_hooper to include me on the @folkloresounds even though I have yet to make it over to that side of the world to play. Once Covid is done I'll make it happen!
Another week goes by and we have even more great music to share with you from the Folklore community 👌
New additions include the latest tracks from @MilesGoodall, @kylekellersongs + @tommysounds 🖤

It's been so hard to stay sane through all this madness lately. I miss playing shows so much it hurts. @JasonIsbell is right though. We gotta take care of ourselves. We'll make it out on the other side of this.
Track #5 on my record is a tune called "The Devil's Hammock". It's about a place on the Gulf Coast of Florida that's got a haunting beauty to it. The song is a metaphor for our deep biological ties to nature. Here's a video of me performing it live. 👇
