Narcissists will give the excuse of past abuse or a hard childhood as a justification for mistreating others. No matter what you've gone through, it's never an excuse to mistreat someone else. We all have the ability to choose how we treat everyone else!
The fake love narcissists give has one purpose, to control you. They give and hold back their "love" from you in order to manipulate and control you. They don't actually love or care about you. They only care about controlling you. It's time to cut the strings and live your life!
Everything narcissists do is a distraction in order to control us. They don't want us to be able to think clearly or have time to ourselves. This might allow us to have time and space for clear thinking, which could allow us to see beyond their illusion.
Not much to say other than I just needed a day to go do the things I love. Still got my camera out and got a couple things, but mostly just had a great day and focused on other things. We all need these days!
The relentless onslaught of criticism, gaslighting, and emotional manipulation inflicted by a narcissist gradually chips away at your self-esteem, leaving you shattered and diminished. Allow yourself all the time you need to heal from this. No one else knows your experience.
Being busy is only helpful until it's not. Many times being busy is not helpful in healing. We end up suppressing emotions that need to come out. It's important to process them, but many times letting them out is helpful in and of itself. Allowing them out is part of healing.
I'm sorry. I messed up and I'm sure I will again. Not because I want to, but because I'm human. I'll own it every time though. I said something in a video that wasn't as clear as what I would like it to have been and someone commented on it and asked me about it.
I do not recommend going to counseling with a narcissist ever if you can avoid it. It doesn't ever go well and usually causes more harm to you and the relationship. If the counselor figures out they're a narcissist, they won't go back and may retaliate against you.
There's always going to hell to pay in toxic relations, it's only when and how it happens. We end up not wanting to talk about anything to anyone. It's better to not talk to narcissists, but we need other people to see and hear us. Find these people and allow them to support you.
Some days just feel like a disaster even when they’re actually not. This is normal even though it usually doesn’t feel like it. It’s just our mind trying to protect us. Take a moment to reflect if everything is actually ok, take a deep breath and give yourself a hug. It will pass
They can try and they may even succeed for a time. Ultimately, their lies are not your truth. Search for the people who will help you see yourself and your truth. They are out there and they are ready and willing to help you through this journey. Keep going! You are worth it!!!
Narcissists just want to get in our heads in order to control us. They’ll use all kinds of excuses and reasons to try to do it that sound justified. Just because they can justify a good reason, doesn’t mean they’re not just trying to get in your head. Don’t believe their lies!
Narcissists don't think anything they do is wrong. They live in an illusion that they are perfect and everyone else is the problem. It's a false illusion, but they still reject everything that doesn't reinforce it to them. Let them live in their illusion and focus on your life.
We feel like we shouldn't feel miserable, because they were toxic. This just isn't how it works. It's probably going to feel terrible because we lost someone we really loved, even if they were fake. Be kind and allow yourself to go through all the emotions that come up.
Every bit of strength we build in our lives comes from challenges. If it wasn't for challenges we wouldn't have the strength to live. We've gotten through everything in our lives already. We can make it through everything we're going through now. It's not easy, but it's worth it!
Narcissists think we betrayed them. When we're no longer willing to be supply for them. It's not actually betrayal of course, we're finally just choosing ourselves. We're no longer willing to be owned by them. They'll be angry, but we get our lives back and that's a win for us!
They're in our midst especially if we have narcissists in our lives. They aren't necessarily bad people or toxic, but they end up amplifying the chaos in our lives. Even if they're not bad, they may not be good for you. Limiting interactions allows you more peace in your life.
Many of us think that if we could just do or say the right thing we could get the narcissist to change or grow up. This will never happen. If they ever change anything, it will be to better abuse or manipulate us. Because they refuse to change anything unless it benefits them.
