Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, director Dave Frankel gave Simone Ashley the support & kindness she would deserve on EVERY set, and she paid them back with a great performance that is now the talk of the town.
Take note, F1/Bridgerton people.
the hypocrisy in the drama is insane but also very well thought out because rachel actually DID something objectively awful but still positions herself as morally superior !! it’s such a perfect portrayal of how people weaponise morality.
the more i think about it the more the drama feels like it’s also about who gets the benefit of the doubt. who is allowed complexity, who is reduced to their worst moment, and who gets to position themselves as morally superior.
the depth of my hate for this woman is something i don’t think i have ever felt for a fictional character before like what actually is her problem? her actions are so bizarre even in the context of the story
