I'm always sad around mothers day. It's hard not having her here to celebrate. I do still celebrate her but just differently. It doesn't help that it is always days before my birthday and she was always the one who made that day special
So I'm rewatching The West Wing and have yet again found a great line from Aaron Sorkin. "I like you guys who want to reduce the size of our government, make it just small enough to fit in our bedrooms." Obviously this was in a discussion about same sex marriage.
Another cursed day come and gone. I didn't realize it until today. 20 years. 20 years as of the 26th. 20 years since I heard the words "you have cancer". I knew the day was coming up. I just didn't realize it was 20 years...
@shellenberger The left is getting people killed? No. I was going to say the right is killing people, but no. Our current president is authorizing, and demanding the murder of people. Innocent or not, American or not, people should be tried for their crimes, not shot simply for disagreeing.
@LemonLymancom The way everyone is saying President Seaborn.... How about President Young? Or President Cregg? Or here's a crazy one.... President Hayes
Does anyone else ever want to smack Ilya on the head and tell him sometimes his words would have more meaning if he called Shane by his first name.... why am I so obsessed with this show lol #heatedrivalry
I'm not posting this because I have loved ones in health care (which I do). I'm not posting this because I want attention. I'm posting this because they deserve respect, courtesy, and our thanks for doing an often thankless job.
Today, I was apologized to by 3 different healthcare workers, in 2 different places. Why? Because they were busy with other patients and couldn't immediately get to me. I'm going to say this very clearly. STOP MAKING HEALTHCARE WORKERS FEEL LIKE THEY HAVE TO APOLOGIZE.
