The future Griz set the Class A girls 800 record last season and is racing each lap left in her Cowgirls career with gratitude. https://t.co/wKAchNFYJK
Thanks to the 80 plus coaches and the outstanding presenters that helped make the 10th Dan Stanton coaches clinic at Dickinson State another success. A great time for a great cause.
When one of my XCTF athletes plays another sport I tell them they are all-in with that sport until it’s over. And when that sport ends, if you need a week to rest and recover or catch up in school, go ahead. I feel that’s the right thing to do.
Out of season coach’s who try to force practice time or use pressure of playing time or “everyone else is getting better while you’re not”… You’re not in it for the right reasons. That’s your ego and/or your insecurity talking!
If a coach is telling you to sport specialize they do not have your best interests in mind. You will never convince me otherwise…There is a ton of development that comes with being a multiple sport athlete that translates to the other sports you do!
Someday, when education-based sports are extinct (driven out by overripe capitalism), we will look back nostalgically to when kids played sports in season, teachers were coaches, playing was affordable, and being a student-athlete was a thing.

Before it dips back into negative temps on Friday, just last week it was nice enough to get out on the track. Our non winter sport athletes are doing a great job putting in work this off season!
Great first full week of winter strength and speed. Proud of our non winter sport athletes for putting in the time and committing to be better all around! Go Cowboys! Go Cowgirls!
Hello everyone! We are selling CCDHS Track and Field T shirts to raise money for our team. All money goes directly to travel, food and new equipment. Fill out the form if you’d like one. I will also mail you one if you’re not in MC!

Thanks for proving my point. If there was ever a reason not to play his senior year of football I would say being a 1st round pick in the NHL would be it. But he wanted to play and even the @NHLBlackhawks encouraged him. We have people out here telling kids with half Mason’s talent to specialize in a sport at 13 when the reality is less than 2% of them will go on to play division 1 sports. If you’re good enough they will find you and playing multiple sports will actually help.
Big congratulations are in order for CCDHS Senior Cowgirl Peyton Frame! Peyton officially has committed to the University of Montana to further her athletic and academic career. Peyton is the CCDHS school record holder in the 5k, 1600m, 800m, 400m, 4x400 relay. Proud of you P!
