I’m tired of the nepotism talk in all corporate America. As a father nepotism is my goal. I hope by creating wealth for myself, I have the privilege of creating opportunity for my children. If they fail, that’s on them. But nobody else is entitled to the opportunity I’ve created.
@elonmusk honest question. When I see a x post that inspires me and I want to share it with someone else, is your share menu prompting me to ONLY share it outside of the platform?
I know I can repost and @ someone. But sometimes I want to share privately, directly.
"We're going to do the opposite of what everyone else is doing... that's the only way to innovate.
[When designing an offense] you should break the rules of what previous coaches have taught.
If you're following the rules, the defense has the advantage."

This actually happened to Evernote. They took the advice of “keep talking to your customers and ship whatever they want” as the only guiding principle for product development. And what ended up happening was paying users liked it, but the product become unintuitive and feature overload for the new user. To the extent that they had to rebuild a version for the new user.
Users don’t always know if they really want something. It’s your job to take the extra step to think on their behalf: whether they really need this. Or can what they ask be done through something much simpler. Or can you solve multiple problems of different users with one new redesign rather than a bunch of changes. The right principle is: “Keep talking and listening to your users, spend the additional time thinking on their behalf what they actually want, and ship that”.
@elonmusk I can’t believe how many people just missed HARD posting horrendous X’s with gradients, shadows, chrome-y, looks. We get it, you know how to use illustrator (or mid journey). Just stop wasting your time. The selection was always going to be simple, classic, and timeless.
@buccocapital Terrible take. Funny thing is, you’re fueling it’s success with such a strong counter reaction. You probably copy and pasted the same reaction you had when Facebook parent rebranded to Meta. Max is generic but largely untapped. Bold move. It will payoff.
I have never understood the jordan logo on a football jersey. Love the Jordan brand but it’s a basketball brand. Not a football brand. It’s just weird and stupid. @UMichFootball
