@WyronGaines I would also encourage her to hold her female counterparts accountable for having destructive takes.
Hard for women, not in their nature, I know.
But you best believe when men give “bad takes” they’re held accountable by men. Normalize this amongst women.
@Samaytwt Tech CEO’s try to lean into the “socially awkward / misunderstood genius” persona.
Historically, a CEO would need to be personable, influential, etc. Tech leaders are the opposite of this so they try use it to their advantage. Before Sam Fried was busted he talked about this.
Couple things to this Boomer/Gen X need to consider-
1) In their early years, luxury goods (TV, microwaves, etc.) were extraordinarily expensive compared to today. They view the advancement of these things as significant progress compared to 35 years ago. However, their cost of LIVING was significantly cheaper than it is today.
2) The power of the dollar has gotten much weaker. There’s plenty of data to support this. Meanwhile, wages have been stagnant. As asset prices increase, the income Gen Z receives is the same if not worse then Boomer/X generations. Making the road to acquire assets much harder.
3) New construction and affordable housing (3bd 2ba homes for example) have come to a grinding hault over the past 20 years. There isn’t big money for the contractors making these homes + there aren’t as many contractors anymore!
IMO these are the most significant components.
