Got to work with these talented @abilene_isd leaders at Bonham Elem. who are coaching teachers in best practices. Their commitment to prioritizing coaching in their day-to-day schedules is helping build a Culture of Learning! #engage2learn@RCPerez1@GreenKammi
@HawleyMO Shame on you Senator! There was no fraud and you are only degrading trust in the American electoral system. You are also doing Donald Trump’s bidding! You really want to go down the conspiracy rabbit hole with Trump? This will define your sad legacy in the Senate.
@E_Sheninger@jchirles It is a great idea and much needed. I hope we go in this direction. As an elementary principal I have witnessed the toll this new instructional normal is taking on our teachers. They are working hard, but need relief. Thanks for advocating for teachers!
@E_Sheninger@jchirles Flexible schedules can be a positive change. There are constrains, such as the inability to find coverage for teachers when they plan. We have alternated days and allowed small groups of teachers to plan. To accomplish large scale planning, districts must alter the school day/week.
Fifth grade teachers @BonhamBulldogs in Abilene ISD are being celebrated for student growth in all subjects on the recent MAP testing! The students EXCEEDED expectations! Way to go!! @kylewiskow@ShannonKBuerk@kenzieabond
Congratulations Bonham Elementary!!
100% of our certified teachers received their Apple Teacher Certification! We are the first AISD campus to achieve this district goal!!
Bonham is basically the best!!

“Make no little plans. They have no magic to stir man’s blood... make big plans. Aim high in hope and work.”

This was my favorite quote from todays principal’s institute. Leadership matters! #Aisdvisioning#roz_keck
We had a great day at the principal’s institute. One big takeaway is that it is important for a school leader to understand how students learn and to work at developing a culture that meets their needs. #aisdvisioning@roz_keck
Collaborative leadership is essential for continuous school improvement. Given the complex challenges faced within the current educational environment, schools require effective leadership teams. I am fortunate to work with a dynamic and talented leadership team. #celebrateAISD
@gcouros Good points, but the change that is required within the educational system may require leaders who can implement change and paradigm shifts within cultures unequipped and resistant. I’m interested in your expanded views on the complexities of change.
On Monday we will begin an exciting new program at Bonham! The “8 Habits Boot Camp” will teach our kids the habits within Leader in Me, and they will teach the habits to their families. We will start with Habit #8 Find Your Voice. #basicallythebest
I recently finished, Becoming a High Reliability School by Robert Marzano (2013). I highly recommend for principals. My favorite quote from the book: “highly effective schools produce results that almost entirely overcome the effects of students background.”
@simonsinek provides a profile of a leader often overlooked by those seeking leadership positions. The ability to create a trusting and safe environment within an organization will determine your success as a leader. This is why leadership matters. https://t.co/qyIuZAjEWD

Ken Robinson’s Changing Educational Paradigms is a thought provoking and provocative call to action. If we want change in education we must have the courage to think differently. Ken’s ideas challenge and inspire. #AISDvisioning
