We need to take the earliest exit we can off this dangerous highway. We may miss the 1.5C exit. Doesn't mean we drive all the way to Cleveland. If so, we get off at the 1.6C exit. and if we miss that, the 1.7C exit. If there's "overshoot", we keep it as short & shallow as we can.
The lie that we've already crossed 1.5C is intended to make you feel paralyzed and hopeless. It is being amplified online by polluters and petrostate bad actors and the useful idiots they've weaponized.
