L&D nurse, talking to another nurse: She is very stoic during contractions
me (to myself): i’m getting a good grade in labor, something that is both normal to want and possible to achieve
Not gonna lie, this is a badass museum donation.
🇺🇸 Shonda Rhimes donated the Oval Office set from Scandal, the same one fictional President Fitzgerald Grant called home for seven seasons.
Now it’s part of the Obama Presidential Center Museum
The fact that I absolutely hated getting up in the middle of the night to prep a bottle was the motivation I needed to get my baby to breastfeed. He was having issues latching but I was like no more. I’m not going downstairs in the middle of the night.
i have a question for mothers who have both bottlefed and breastfed their babies. (not necessarily combo feeding, i mean you breastfed one baby and bottlefed another) especially cosleeping/bedsharing moms
are night wakings more difficult when nursing is not an option? when you wake up in the middle of the night, how does it feel to prep a bottle and stay awake while feeding it, vs nursing in bed?
the reason i ask is because everyone talks about how much easier and more convenient bottlefeeding is, and i sorta get it, but in the middle of the night, does it really suck to do bottles? sometimes idk how i would survive baby nights without side-lying nursing / breastsleeping. i feel like this perspective gives me anxiety sometimes (like what if i HAVE to switch to bottles at some point, for whatever reason?) and i get a sense i'm probably overthinking it
ig if i have another baby, i would like to consider being more open/flexible, even just for my own mindset/anxiety
nobody hate me for this but i actually think we should let the astrophage eat the sun juuuust a bit. please it's 100 degrees out let them nibble on it a little
