Marcus Aurelius was right when he said the crowd will forget you no matter what you do. So the only real question is whether you spent your years chasing their approval or actually living for yourself.
Hey.
Hey you over there.
Uta kuwa poa.
Some days may be extremely rough. Some days you feel this overwhelming sadness and hopelessness. You do everything right but somehow it still doesn't work out. Don't give up. Hang in there. Just a little bit longer.
Utakuwa poa.
spoke to enough people at the top, you realize the game is actually pretty simple
once basic needs are met, everyone starts chasing the same things
good sleep, a stable relationship, regular workouts, time alone, books, deep focus, eating on time, and freedom from other people’s opinions
funnily enough, you don’t need to reach the top to start optimizing for any of them
No one is ahead of you. We’ve been taught to look around and measure our lives against everyone else’s. Who got married first, who makes more money, who is more successful or who seems further ahead in their goals. But life was never meant to be a competition against other people. The only person you need to outgrow is the person you used to be. Focus on becoming better than you were yesterday. Build the life you want, move at your own pace and remember that someone else’s timeline has nothing to do with yours. You’re not behind. You’re on your own path.
A moving man has interviews, tests, exams, courses, applications... and many more to meet his luck.
In between, there will be failures, rejections, and shortened expectations.
But he still has to keep moving.
Major cheat code for life: Every pattern in your life repeats until you learn the lesson. The moment you choose differently, the loop ends and growth begins.
Nobody likes you when you're depressed.
Plain and simple. We can talk all day about mental health and how important it is, but the moment you are depressed, people start to distance themselves. They see you as negative, a burden, and someone too heavy to handle.
I envy such people. No goals to accomplish, no societal expectation, no shame, no worries, just happiness and living their best life one day at a time.
