This was Preston Davey. A one-year-old from England. The baby boy had been placed in the care of two gay men who were in the proces of adopting him. Within months, the men raped Preston to death.
The gay men, named Jamie Varley (a head teacher!) and John McGowan-Fazakerley, both worked with children and also face a list of other charges, including possession of CSAM. They will appear in court tomorrow.
Rest in peace Preston. I hope one day you and the many victims of these horrific crimes will finally be enough to stop these cruel sacrifices on the altar of progressivism.
In a recent case in Belgium, a well known journalist and LGBTQ-activist called Sven Pichal, who had two adopted foster boys, got caught wanting to ‘buy’ a Romanian boy so he could abuse it and rent it out to other abusers. He was given a mere five years of probation — no effective prison sentence. So we’re sadly still very far from the point where enough will be enough.
Thank you @Slatzism for bringing this case to our attention.
For the past nine months, a democratically elected mayor has been jailed in a country in Europe: Albania, which is an EU candidate!
The ethnic Greek mayor-elect of the Albanian city of Himare, Fredi Beleri, has been jailed since May 2023.
Indigenous Greeks living in Albania have been exposed to discrimination and human rights abuses at the hands of the government for decades.
Beleri was detained on suspicion of "voter fraud". Two other mayors in Albania, facing the same charges as Beleri, have assumed their mayoral duties.
When a defendant has not been convicted and there is no final court ruling, he can be sworn in. However, Albanian courts say the law does not apply to Beleri. All his appeals to be released in order to be sworn in as mayor have been turned down by the Albanian courts.
The reason for the unlawfulness appears to be Beleri's opposition to the Albanian government, and his ethnic Greek identity.
In an interview from jail, Beleri said: “The main opposition can’t perform its duties in parliament. There is a witch hunt on the government side. Anyone who is not liked by [Albanian Prime Minister] Edi Rama may be prosecuted at any time. There is no equality in Albania.”
That Greece's government has been quite inactive in the face of this injustice is deeply disheartening.
Arrested for alleged 'fraud', Beleri defied the odds and won the local election while in jail. The powers that keep him locked away, prevent him from taking his rightful place as the mayor-elect of Himara.A story of fight for democracy & the Greek minority in Albania. #freeBeleri
Turkey bombs civilians, assaults Americans on 🇺🇸 soil, threatens U.S. allies with war and refuses to sanction Russia while giving safe haven to its oligarchs. Now they want Americans to sell them weapons as a reward.
Retweet if you agree there must be #NoJetsForTurkey
