@Volkslehrer1 Appreciate your response. She did not deserve to be imprisoned that long, especially at her age. Hopefully she can spend her remaining yrs in peace and surrounded by family and friends.
@mayukh_panja I am German born and attended German nursing school. Then I moved to the US and eventually got my RN. Never looked back. Way more opportunities here and I'm more than critical of the US.
@CorinneVB@dogmomjenn I have worked in long term care...our seniors deserve better. My point was that our pets should be made comfortable but pass on their own terms.
@CorinneVB@dogmomjenn Same here. Both of my dogs died next to me in my home. We don't euthanize our loved ones but put them on hospice and make them as comfortable as possible. Why can't we do that with our pets?
@solos4242 Yes, the West has many opportunities. I worked as a travel nurse with the elderly and boondocked mostly because it was easier with my dogs. 'Cheap RV living' had a video out today talking about this network.
There is a organized network for people living in their cars.
https://t.co/My6dBDvw4n When we boondock, we encounter quite a few of these folks.
Welcome to the US
Maybe try living in a car first.
High housing costs and fixed incomes have driven some older Americans to live in their vehicles.
These individuals face challenges such as parking tickets and finding safe places to park and shower.
The "vehicle residency" is growing." #Tumpeconomic
