Watching a flu outbreak sweep through a major military training installation after @PeteHegseth pointlessly politicized the vaccine requirement is a reminder that viruses are unimpressed by amateur political theater.

Baby Rottie Kenji was a tired Mooseweiler after an epic game of Tug & Tag followed by practicing his scent detection.
So tired he didn't even realize the human had dropped a piece of wiener in front of his snoot. Even when he briefly woke up! Maybe he thought the smell was part of his dream?
🎥 Sleepy Kenji and the wiener
Retweet if you think he's adorable.

The storm system passing to our north on Saturday will do a few things. It will drag a cold front across the region, help trigger severe thunderstorms across the Eastern Plains, and crank up the winds in the mountains, across the Western Slope, and into portions of Wyoming.
That combination of gusty winds, low humidity, and dry fuels will create critical fire weather conditions along and west of the Continental Divide.
I know I sound like a broken record, precious little chicken nuggets, but under absolutely no circumstances should you be dragging chains, lighting fireworks, tossing cigarette butts out the window, starting campfires, abandoning campfires, parking hot vehicles in tall grass, or doing anything else that could remotely create a spark.
It only takes one mistake. One spark in the wrong place at the wrong time can turn into a wildfire that impacts entire communities, destroys homes, closes highways, and puts firefighters in harm’s way.
Saturday is one of those days where we all need to use a little extra common sense. Don’t be a dumb dumb. Help us keep the landscape from going kablamo. 🔥💨
@PatC508@bunsenbernerbmd That's fantastic! And I just saw (and was treated with) a Venturi mask earlier today for a procedure. Thank you for putting this together ❤️
@bunsenbernerbmd My little boy kitty had PU surgery when he was barely over a year old.
The vet staff were all impressed with how he greeted me when I came to visit.
Brix is reminding me of those greetings here.
I hope he keeps going in the right direction to go home. ❤️
A 1-year-old child is dead after police officers in Mississippi opened fire on a vehicle in a crowded Walmart parking lot in Senatobia. His mother, who has not been charged with any crime, says she was trying to communicate to officers that there was a baby in the car. They fired anyway, leading to the death of an innocent 1-year-old. We intend to seek justice for baby Kohen and the life that was stolen from him.
A 1-year-old in Mississippi was shot and killed by police after a cop opened fire on a vehicle involved in an alleged shoplifting incident at a Walmart. An adult was also critically wounded.
A witness says they saw 2 women leaving the store with an infant, Kohen Kartier Wiley, and a box of diapers. Relatives deny that Wiley's mother and aunt were shoplifting, with some saying they had a digital receipt on a phone.
This is a national tragedy.
The officers knew about Kohen Kartier Wiley being in the car before they opened fire.
Firing into a moving vehicle in a crowded parking lot over a non-violent offense is both criminally reckless and completely unjustified.
RIP Kohen Kartier Wiley
The cops murdered a 1-year-old baby in Mississippi after someone falsely accused his mother of shoplifting from Walmart.
Even if the diapers were stolen that is no justification for cops to murder anyone let alone a child, but she had a receipt.
A baby is dead because of a shoot-first, murderous cop AND a racist person who profiled a Black mother and called the police over diapers that she didn’t even steal.
1-year-old Kohen Wiley was killed in an officer-involved shooting at a Mississippi Walmart on Sunday afternoon.
The officer who fired the shots has not been identified, but city leaders confirmed that they were placed on administrative leave.

FTP: LAPD killed her dog. He was wearing his Knicks jersey.
His name was Jameson. A golden doodle. One of the sweetest, most gentle breeds alive.
A neighbor called a noise complaint. That's it.
20+ officers showed up. Then a helicopter. For a noise complaint in an apartment complex.
And they shot Jameson dead. In front of his owner. In front of her child.
No warning. No de-escalation. Nothing.
The media is barely covering this. No headlines. No outrage.
Like it never happened.
If this was your dog... your child watching... how would you feel?
Jameson deserved better. That little boy deserved better. His mama deserved better.
@servicerotties@JParks63 We did 3 days training, a day off, and dropped her and her boarding buddy (my sister's dog who'd been there before) off. He also came for daycare the third day.
She did great and we're pretty sure both dogs were a little sad to go home. They definitely enjoy their visits there.
@servicerotties@JParks63 Before I boarded my current pup, Leia, the first time, I enrolled her for some training to help her get a feel for the place and ease her transition.
There was a meet and greet with the general manager, the trainer, and his 4 legged assistant.
Perhaps all those geniuses who want to cut migration, and the journos cheering them on, might spend a few days in hospital. Then they can come out and explain how they would have fared without the professional skills of the large chunk of the health workforce not born here.
@PoontheComanche@KellyScaletta Thank you!
The only skull and crossbones I could picture was the Jolly Roger.
And I definitely couldn't associate the Jolly Roger with a Nazi symbol.
