Spent last night with one of my best friends from High School, who is also a teacher. I have never seen him more physically and mentally exhausted from the job than he now is
He talked about toll the pandemic has taken and how sickness/teacher shortage is crushing them (cont)
"If everyone just sits on their hands and insists that things will be better for teachers once this pandemic is over, it’s going to get a whole lot worse." #kyedchat#kyadmin

@kyschooltalk SBDM councils allow teachers, parents, school-based administrators, and often students to directly have a voice in the decision-making process
@kyschooltalk Context is everything. In a small district where a supt has detailed knowledge of schools, it may work to the benefit of schools. In large districts where it’s impossible for a supt to know, with rich detail, the context of every school, the SBDM should play a critical role.
