Yesterday we conducted a White Cane training for students at @Kyambogo_FSNR.
The training aimed at raising awareness about the white cane, participants were trained on the dos & don'ts when offering to guide a visually impaired or blind person

‘The Underdog’

They may never know how much their seeing me, accepting me and appreciating me poured deeply into my spirit and soul, making this moment one that is forever etched into my mind’s eye.

‘The Underdog’ is inspired by Paul in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, who says;
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”

Somalia Youth Visually impaired organisation & KYUVISA had a match as the last stage of twin association agreement.
Both teams played a Goal Ball match with Kyambogo winning by 10 goals to 6. This initiative was in support of promoting sports for visually impaired at uni!

Yesterday afternoon the 21st of August Kyambogo university Visually impaired students association(KYUVISA) and Somalia Youth Visually impaired organisation had a cultural exchange. Both teams discussed different aspects of their country's culture towards visual impairment.
